Arts-based practices can support sustainability, combined with research that points out needs for intervention. We practiced environmental sensitivity and dialogic art with fifth-grade school pupils as part of an International Socially Engaged Art Symposium (ISEAS2019). Using arts-based action research methodology, our case study focused on the opportunities of arts-based environmental education in advancing the management of meadows and wood-pastures. In this article, we argue that drama can serve as an interconnecting method for climate change education. In this study, we elaborate the practice of drama and participation experiences through three drama workshops: 1) process drama work on the global, social, and individual aspects of climate change, 2) outdoor drama practice on relations to nature, and 3) reflections through drama practice. Pro gradu -työssäni tarkastelen draamaa kirjallisuudenopetuksen työtapana. Vuonna 2016 käyttöön otettavat perusopetuksen opetussuunnitelman perusteet osoittavat, että draama on työtapana ajankohtainen ja suositeltu. Opettajien keskuudessa on kuitenkin epätietoisuutta ja -varmuutta siitä, miten draamaa voisi integroida omaan opetukseen. Samaan aikaan lukuharrastukseen innostaminen ja kirjallisuuden aseman vahvistaminen kaipaisivat uusia pedagogisia innovaatioita. Transmigrant and immigrant preschool visual response to intergenerational multimodal storytelling

Newly arrived (refugees, migrants, transmigrants, immigrants) children require a shiftin intergenerational storytelling. Intergenerational storytelling enables culturally and linguistically diverse emergent learners exposure to not only language but socio-cultural knowledge, values and practices. This study examines the intergenerational storytelling and art session held at a co-joined pre-school and elderly care home.
