Morphological, molecular and hormonal adaptations to early morning versus afternoon resistance training

It has been clearly established that maximal force and power is lower in the morning compared to noon or afternoon hours. This morning neuromuscular deficit can be diminished by regularly training in the morning hours. However, there is limited and contradictory information upon hypertrophic adaptations to time-of-day-specific resistance training. Music we move to : Spotify audio features and reasons for listening

Previous literature has shown that music preferences (and thus preferred musical features) differ depending on the listening context and reasons for listening (RL). Yet, to our knowledge no research has investigated how features of music that people dance or move to relate to particular RL. Consequently, in two online surveys, participants (N = 173) were asked to name songs they move to (“dance music”). Additionally, participants (N = 105) from Survey 1 provided RL for their selected songs. Although previous work has suggested that socially relevant information, such as personality and gender, are encoded in dance movement, the generalizability of previous work is limited. However, in reality the sounds surrounding us are spectrally and temporally complex, dynamic and overlapping. Thus, research using natural sounds is crucial in understanding the operation of the brain in its natural environment. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tarkastella tanskalaisen filosofin Erich Klawonnin argumentteja minä-substanssin puolesta ja englantilaisen filosofin Gilbert Rylen kritiikkiä kartesiolaiselle dualismille. Klawonn argumentoi, että ruumis ja mieli ovat kaksi erillistä substanssia, fyysinen ja aineeton minä-substanssi. Hänelle minä-substanssi edustaa sellaista, jolla on kattavat piirteet.
