Research on unmet needs is mostly based on quantitative data. Older persons’ and informal carers’ views and experiences have received less attention. <p>This article is based on the case study which focuses on the small class (in this article used to describe a small special needs class) operation of one medium-sized Finnish town. In the study an attempt was made to clarify what kind of alternative the small class is to the first grade of general education at the beginning of the child's educational path, what kind of experiences the teachers had of the pupils of the small class, of multi-vocational cooperation and of pupils' integration and success in general education. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin millaisia tarpeita ja toiveita kotona asuvilla muistisairailla ja heidän läheisillään on kotona asumista tukevaan teknologiaan liittyen. Tutkimukseen osallistui 25 kotona asuvaa muistisairasta henkilöä ja 25 heidän läheistään. Metodina käytettiin etnografista tutkimusotetta. Aineistonkeruumenetelminäolivat avoin haastattelua ja havainnointi. Analyysimenetelmänä käytettiin sisällön analyysiä. Tarpeet ja toiveet voitiin luokitella kolmeen pääluokkaan, jotka olivat itsemääräämisoikeuden säilyminen, sosiaalisten suhteiden säilyminen ja liikkumisen oikeus ja turvallisuus. Pro gradu –työssäni tutkin teatteritaiteen perusopetuksessa koettua laatua opetukseen osallistuneiden oppilaiden näkökulmasta. Tutkimukseni perustana on deweyläinen pragmatismi, jossa teoria ja empiria solmiutuvat yhteen. The purpose of this study was to analyse the associations between basic psychological needs, motivational regulations and enjoyment within Finnish physical education (PE) students. The participants of the study were 260 Grade 5 students (Mage=11.86, SD=0.28) and 242 Grade 8 students (Mage=14.93, SD=0.37) who completed a questionnaire prior to their regular PE classes. This cross-sectional study incorporated a multigroup structural equation modelling (SEM, path model) separately for Grade 5 and 8 students, using gender as a grouping value. The objective of this study was to assess their needs and preferences regarding app-based cardiovascular health promotion. Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on selvittää, kuinka sosiaalityöntekijät perustelevat lastensuojelun palvelutarpeen arvioinnin prosessin aikana tekemiään päätöksiä, kun lastensuojeluilmoitus on tehty vanhemman päihteidenkäytön vuoksi. Päihteidenkäytön vaikutusta lapsiin ja perheisiin on tutkittu laajasti ja päihteiden käytön negatiivisista vaikutuksista perheiden hyvinvointiin on kiistattomat tulokset.
