In Sicily, the current increasing cultivation of Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill. corresponds to a availability of prickly pears pulp (PPP) that residues from fruits processing for juice extraction, comprised of peel, pulp and seeds. This investigation aim to evaluate the nutritional traits of PPP for ruminants feeding, and the effect of potassium metabisulfite (PMB) as a natural stabilizer to limit initial rapid PPP fermentation. The paper investigates the role of the space charge accumulation phenomena in the inception of Partial Discharges (PD) in a defect within the bulk of the dielectrics of a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable. It is widespread accepted that the number of PD occurring in an HVDC cable during its lifetime is largely less than that under AC voltage stress. This is essentially due to higher values of the voltage between the conductor and the screen needed to trigger PD under a steady DC voltage than the same value under AC stress. A Power Law Behavior in the Incentivized Italian Photovoltaic Market

The Italian photovoltaic (PV) marketis analyzed by using the data contained in the database that describes all PV Plants installed in Italy under the incentive program called “2nd Conto Energia”. It is shown that the cumulative probability distribution of the size of the installed PV plants has a broken power tail. An approach to partially quantify the effect of the economic, juridical and technical rules is introduced in order to show how the regulatory body influences the power tail of the cumulative probability curve.

Konstrukcijski sustavi okvir-ziđe jedni su od najčešćih vrsta građevnih konstrukcija. Iako se ispunsko ziđe u kojem se ne nalaze otvori pri provjeri potresne otpornosti pouzdano predočava tlačnim štapovima, način uzimanja u obzir veličine, vrste i razmještaja otvora u ziđu nije u potpunosti razjašnjen. Nekolicina razvijenih proračunskih postupaka u kojima se razmatra ovaj problem su, ili proračunski vrlo zahtjevni, ili su nepouzdani, jer pokazuju prevelika odstupanja u rezultatima proračuna.
