In this study, we outline the different steps and strategies followed to develop an online formation program aimed to higher education teachers. How can artistic intervention facilitate empathic engagement with work-related uncertainty in postgraduate management education? To examine this, we theorize artistic intervention as creating an interspace of temporarily suspended organizational norms through which empathy as relational knowing can emerge between participants. Modern digital technologies have become common in educational settings of all levels. This has made the use of digital storytelling (DST) more applicable in early childhood education and care (ECEC). This paper examines the implementation of DST, aiming to answer the following questions: 1) How to support children’s active participation throughout the DST process in ECEC, and 2) how do 21st century skills manifest in the DST process? The study was conducted between 2017 and 2018, when two cycles of DST projects were implemented in four Finnish ECEC centres as part of a European project. I regjeringens Demensplan 2020 legges det vekt på hvordan demensomsorgen skal ivareta personer med demens sin individualitet. Som strategi foreslås en økt bruk av «livsarket», en kort tekst som gir en oversikt over en persons viktige livserfaringer og preferanser. Sammenhengene mellom ønsket om å kjenne en persons livshistorie og det å kunne utøve tilpasset omsorg møtes i livsarket, og gir en pekepinn om idealer for vår tids forståelser av offentlig omsorg. Samtidig åpner bruk av livsarket opp for kritiske refleksjoner om fortellingspraksiser, fortolkning, representasjon og selvframstilling.
