Over the last two decades, pharmacogenetics and pharmacokinetics have been increasingly used in clinical practice in Psychiatry due to the high variability regarding response and side effects of antipsychotic drugs. 68Ga-DOTATOC represents a useful tool in tumor contouring for radiosurgery planning. We present a case series of patients affected by meningiomas on who we performed 68Ga-DOTATOC positron emission tomography (PET)/CT pre-operatively, a subgroup of which also underwent a post-operative 68Ga-DOTATOC PET/CT to evaluate the standardized uptake value (SUV) modification after Gamma Knife ICON treatment in single or hypofractionated fractions. Twenty patients were enrolled/included in this study: ten females and ten males. The median age was 52 years (range 33–80). Abstract Whether immunosuppression impairs severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2‐specific T‐cell‐mediated immunity (SARS‐CoV‐2‐CMI) after liver transplantation (LT) remains unknown. We included 31 LT recipients in whom SARS‐CoV‐2‐CMI was assessed by intracellular cytokine staining (ICS) and interferon (IFN)‐γ FluoroSpot assay after a median of 103 days from COVID‐19 diagnosis. Serum SARS‐CoV‐2 IgG antibodies were measured by ELISA. A control group of non‐transplant immunocompetent patients were matched (1:1 ratio) by age and time from diagnosis. AbstractOver 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain (CP), which causes more disability than any other medical condition in the U.S. at a cost of $560-$635 billion per year (IOM, 2011). Opioid analgesics are frequently used to treat CP. However, long term use of opioids can cause brain changes such as opioid-induced hyperalgesia that, over time, increase pain sensation. Also, opioids fail to treat complex psychological factors that worsen pain-related disability, including beliefs about and emotional responses to pain. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin käsitetestien synnyttämää keskustelua mekaniikan peruskurssilla. Käsitetestit ovat oleellinen osa Peer Instruction -opetusmenetelmää, joka pyrkii lisäämään opiskelijoiden roolia aktiivisina oppijina massakurssilla. Kurssin luennot rakentuivat vuorottelevista luennoitsijan alustuksista ja esitetyistä käsitetesteistä. Opiskelijat pohtivat ja vastasivat ensin testeihin itsenäisesti. Tätä seurasi muutaman minuutin mittainen ryhmäkeskustelu, jonka jälkeen opiskelijat vastasivat kysymykseen uudelleen. Lopuksi testin ratkaisu käytiin läpi - yleensä luennoitsijan johdolla.
