Enkephalins are known to have a profound effect on hippocampal inhibition, but the possible endogenous source of these neuropeptides, and their relationship to inhibitory interneurons is still to be identified. In the present study we analysed the morphological characteristics of met-enkephalin-immunoreactive cells in the CA1 region of the rat and guinea-pig hippocampus, their coexistence with other neuronal markers and their target selectivity at the light and electron microscopic levels.  Several interneurons in all subfields of the hippocampus were found to be immunoreactive for met-enkephalin. Oltre le parole: le relazioni intersoggettive nei nidi d’infanzia e la formazione delle educatrici

In questo articolo mi soffermo in particolare, sulle interazioni e sui legami affettivi ed emotivi tra adulti e bambini, ma anche tra bambini e bambini, all'interno dei nidi d'infanzia, focalizzandomi sulla intercorporeità. Farò riferimento in particolare alle prospettive dell’infant research, dell’intersoggettività e delle neuroscienze secondo un “approccio in seconda persona”. Concluderò con una riflessione sulla formazione degli educatori per l’infanzia alla luce di quanto sostenuto, sottolineando la necessità di percorsi specifici e adeguati alla delicatezza ed alla complessità del ruolo svolto nella crescita dei bambini.

ILS – ett nytt finlandssvenskt material för kartläggning av läsning och skrivning

Det har inte funnits tillräckligt med forskningsbaserade verktyg för kartläggning av finlandssvenska barns inlärningsmässiga och språkliga svårigheter. I samarbete mellan ILS-projektet vid Niilo Mäki Institutet och Åbo Akademi, normerades två benämningstest för finlandssvenska barn i åldern 6–12 år. Med hjälp av testen kan man både kartlägga och följa upp benämningsförmågan, men även planera olika stödinsatser. SSB – Test i Snabb Seriell Benämning mäter benämningshastigheten och antalet benämningsfel när olika stimuli presenteras i ordningsföljd. Comparison of oxidoreductive enzyme activities in three coal tar creosote-contaminated soils

This study used laboratory experiments to compare the effects of coal tar creosote on the activity of oxidoreductive enzymes in sandy loam, loamy sand and sandy clay loam soils. Different amounts of coal tar creosote were added to soil samples as follows: 0 (control), 2, 10 or 50 g kg–1 dry matter. The activity of soil dehydrogenases (DHAs), o-diphenol oxidase (o-DPO), catalase (CAT), nitrate reductase (NR) and peroxidases (POX) was determined. Contamination of soil with coal tar creosote affected oxidoreductase activity.
