Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää oppimaan oppimisen näkyminen yläkoulun englannin kielen oppikirjoissa. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin, miten ja missä yhteyksissä oppimaan oppiminen tuli esille ja mitä kielitaidon osa-alueita painotettiin. Oppimaan oppimista on tutkittu Euroopassa ja Suomessa parina viime vuosikymmenenä. Hautamäki määrittää oppimaan oppimisen uskomuksiin ja taitoihin. In the ancient medical literature hydrocephalus was not often described although its existence and symptomatology were well known. Most detailed descriptions of hydrocephalus including the surgical treatment are extant in the encyclopaedic works on medicine of the physicians Oreibasios and Aetios from Amida from the 4th and 6th centuries AD, respectively. Because of their broad scientific interests, this type of physicians, typical for the late Roman empire, were known as philosophy-physicians (iota alpha tau rho o sigma o phi iota sigma tau alpha iota). The aim of the article is to present the image of local government in the his-tory of Poland in the 20th century, in terms of the latest school history textbooks. For the purpose of the analysis, eight studies have been selected, which since September 2012 have been taught in Polish secondary schools. The image of the title issue emerging from the analysis indicates that the marginal treatment of the role and signifi cance of local government in relation to the period of the Second Republic of Poland is clearly visible. Tässä tutkielmassa kartoitetaan kuvaa, joka suomalaisissa viidennen ja kuudennen luokan maantiedon oppikirjoissa annetaan ihmisistä Euroopan ulkopuolella. Tutkielma on tehty sisällönanalyysin keinoin. Selkeiden stereotyyppisten kuvien lisäksi pyritään löytämään myös piileviä, vähemmän selviä stereotypioita.
