List do Rzymian w „Katechezach” Cyryla Jerozolimskiego. Sposoby wykorzystania i interpretacji

2018

Cyril of Jerusalem, the author of the Catechesis delivered to the catechumens and the newly baptized, gave the teachings of Jesus Christ on the basis of the Symbol in force in Jerusalem, and above all on the basis of the Holy Scriptures. He readily referred to the books of the Old and New Testaments, quoting literal citations or paraphrasing individual biblical ideas. Among the frequently quoted biblical books is also the St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, which was used by Cyril almost 40 times. Some of Paul’s statements were used as an element of the content link, while others are the starting point for presenting the wider context of Christian teachings to the audience. In most cases, the…

Los canecillos de la Capilla del Cementerio de San Juan del Hospital de Valencia

2020

In the medieval cemetery of the Historic Site of San Juan del Hospital of Valencia is housed a small funeral chapel founded in the late thirteenth century by the knight Arnau de Romaní. Along its cornice there are a series of heads of animals and humans that are one of the few sculptural vestiges inserted into the Romanesque iconographic tradition that are preserved in the city. So far they have not aroused the interest of specialists and no one has dedicated a detailed study to these curious and interesting images located in the marginal spaces of such a beautiful building. This article aims to complete this gap addressing the study of the corbels of the small temple, projecting a thematic…

Teologiczny dialog rzymskokatolicko-prawosławny: stan i perspektywy

2018

Roman Catholic-Orthodox dialogue, due to the doctrinal similitude of both ecclesial traditions, raises the greatest hopes as to unification in faith and in church teachings. Over nearly four hundred years of work by the Joint Commission for the theological dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church on the global scene, it has born much good fruit. For the dialogue to be initiated, the Churches had to pass through enormous transformation, both mental and spiritual. The point was for them to rediscover each other as sisterly Churches. Establishing Joint Commission for the theological dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church (November 30,1979) …

Ethically ethnic: the ethno-culturalization of the moral conduct of the Sámi and the Roma in the governance in Finland between the 1850s and 1930s

2015

Although there was not a focused administration on ethnic minorities in Finland until the last decades of the 20th century, there was variety of rationalities, techniques and practices of governance used for their conduct. In this article I analyze how the governance of the Roma and the Sámi – two biggest minorities at the time – changed after mid-1800s, when the new understanding, the ethno-cultural one, on population diffused among administration and governing bodies. This Foucauldian analysis concentrates on the descent of this ‘event’, the social and political conditions of its mergence, and the actual changes it meant in the governance of these minorities. peerReviewed
