This article is devoted to the functional and semantic description of the Russian and Polish terminology of theolinguistics. Russian and Polish lexicographic sources were used to analyze the interpretation of words that a priori can perform the function of theolinguistic terms; the features of their functioning in Russian- and Polish-language theolinguistic texts were studied; the selection and seminal analysis of Russian and Polish terms included in the conceptual and terminological field “theolinguistics” was carried out.

This article is an attempt at a theolinguistic description of such concepts as manipulation, persuasia, and religious language. The author focuses primarily on the theoretical aspect of the stated problem. In the first part of the work, such concepts as manipulation, persuasia and speech influence are analyzed. Around the beginning of the twenty-first century, the study of eortonyms (names of religious holidays) became one of the actively developing areas not only of liturgics, but also of theolinguistics and onomastics. This allowed us to fill a niche in onomastic terminology. In addition, a new direction – comparative eortology began to be developed in Slavic theolinguistics.
