Safety Evaluation of Turbo-Roundabouts with and without Internal Traffic Separations Considering Autonomous Vehicles Operation

The paper presents a microsimulation approach for assessing the safety performance of turbo-roundabouts where Cooperative Autonomous Vehicles “CAVs” have been introduced into the traffic mix alongside conventional vehicles “CVs”. Based on the analysis of vehicle trajectories from VISSIM and subsequent analysis of traffic conflicts through the Surrogate Safety Assessment Model (SSAM), the research aims to evaluate the safety benefits of turbo-roundabouts where the lanes are physically separated by raised curbs, compared to roundabouts without such curbs. An integrated package for modelling and mapping urban traffic emissions and air and acoustic quality

Urban activities and traffic movements have an important impact on the acoustic level and air pollution. The aim of the present paper is to assess the improvement of an environmental territorial information system, developed in 2003, useful as a decision support for town-planning and territorial management. The system born as a data base and as a tools of management for environmental problems is now improved and is able to calculate the noise levels and the correlate CO values. Since an urban area could be analyzed at a macro-scale level also the evaluation is at a macro scale level. Thanks to its flexibility, the modular system allows to meet the demands of a wide range of applications.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących lęku jako aktualnego stanu bądź jako cechy osobowości, poziomu odczuwanego stresu oraz sposobów radzenia sobie z nim przez policjantów Wydziału Kryminalnego oraz Prewencji i Ruchu Drogowego. Założenia dotyczące celu badania wskazywały na wyższy poziom lęku i stresu u policjantów Wydziału Kryminalnego. Hipotezy te związane były z charakterem pracy mundurowych danego oddziału.
