Aivosähkökäyrämittaukset ovat tyypillisesti hyvin työläitä ja pitkäkestoisia. Näiden seikkojen johdosta otoskoot ovat usein pieniä. Lisäksi osa koehenkilöistä päätyy lopettamaan mittaukset kesken, tai ei jaksa keskittyä annetun ohjeistuksen mukaisesti. Näin ollen valmiiksi hyvin rajalliseen aineistoon syntyy puuttuvuutta siten, että tietyt osakokeet jäävät kokonaan mittaamatta joidenkin henkilöiden osalta. Aineistossa ilmenevä puuttuvuus on käsitelty aivojenkuvantamismittauksissa tavanomaisesti siten, että analyysiin otetaan mukaan vain niitä koehenkilöitä koskevat mittaukset, joilta ei puutu lainkaan tietoa. Necrobia rufipes (De geer) infestation in pet food packaging and setup of a monitoring trap

Simple Summary Necrobia rufipes (Coleoptera: Cleridae) is an emerging pest of pet food stores. Information on infestation modalities for this pest is absent and specific monitoring tools are missing. In this paper, the adults’ and larvae’s ability to enter into pet food packaging was evaluated. Furthermore, to set up of a monitoring trap behavioral bioassays were carried out: testing two adhesive surfaces, one generally used in mouse glue trap and the other used in cockroach trap, to evaluate their ability in avoiding insects’ escape; screening different molecules, as candidate food attractants: methyl cyclopentenolone, squalene and stearic acid. Defects in III-N LEDs: experimental identification and impact on electro-optical characteristics

III-N light-emitting-diodes (LEDs) are subject of intense investigations, thanks to their high efficiency and great reliability. The quality of the semiconductor material has a significant impact on the electro-optical performance of LEDs: for this reason, a detailed characterization of defect properties and the modeling of the impact of defects on device performance are of fundamental importance. This presentation addresses this issue, by discussing a set of recent case studies on the topic; specifically, we focus on the experimental characterization of defects, and on the modeling of their impact on the electro-optical characteristics of the devices.
Higher Socioeconomic Status Predicts Less Risk of Depression in Adolescence: Serial Mediating Roles of Social Support and Optimism.

Family socioeconomic status (SES) is known to have a powerful influence on adolescent depression. However, the inner mechanisms underlying this association are unclear. Here, we explore this issue by testing the potential mediating roles of social support (interpersonal resource) and optimism (intrapersonal resource), based on the predictions of the Reserve Capacity Model (RCM). Participants were 652 adolescents (age range: 11-20 years old, Mage =14.55 years, SD = 1.82; 338 boys (51.80%)) from two junior and two senior high schools in Wuhan, China. Questo studio analizza la produzione di rifiuti a rischio infettivo in una grande struttura ospedaliera specializzata per le attività di trapianto: Ismett (Istituto Mediterraneo per i Trapianti e Terapie ad Alta Specializzazione), che si trova a Palermo. Sono state determinate le relazioni fra la quantità e la composizione dei rifiuti, da una parte; la complessità della struttura e la natura delle cure erogate, dall’altra.
