Novel view synthesis for projective texture mapping on real 3D objects

Industrial reproduction, as stereography or lithography, have a lack in texture information, as they only deal with 3D reconstruction. In this paper, we provide a new technique to map texture on real 3D objects, by synthesizing a novel view from two camera images to a projector frame, considered as a camera acting in reverse. No prior information on the pose or the shape of the 3D object is necessary, however hard calibration of the complete system is needed.

Accuracy of intraocular lens (IOL) calculation formulas SRK/T, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1, Haigis and Barrett Universal II were compared in prediction of postoperative refraction for multifocal and implants using a single optical biometry device. The authors included 88 refractive lens exchange and cataract surgeries, with AcrySof IQ PanOptix implant (Alcon Laboratories, Inc.). All eyes were divided into three groups based on axial length (AL), group 1: 24.5 mm (6 eyes). Comparativa entre lentes intraoculares multifocales: TECNIS Symphony vs AcrySof PanOptix

PROPOSITO: Evaluar el rendimiento visual de la LIOM TECNIS® Symfony y compararla con la LIOM AcrySof® IQ PanOptix™. MÉTODO: Treinta y ocho pacientes (68 ojos) se dividieron en dos grupos: dieciocho pacientes fueron asignados al grupo de Symfony y veinte pacientes al grupo de PanOptix. Los parámetros analizados fueron UDVA, UIVA, UNVA, CDVA, CDIVA, CDNVA, la SC y las curvas de desenfoque monocular ambas en condiciones fotópicas y en un rango de +3 a -5 D en pasos de 0.5 D junto con un cuestionario de calidad de vida. Trifocal toric intraocular lenses in eyes with low amount of corneal astigmatism.

Aim To evaluate the refractive and visual outcomes following cataract surgery and implantation of a trifocal toric intraocular lens (IOL) in eyes with low degrees of corneal astigmatism. Methods Twenty-six eyes of 22 patients who underwent implantation a trifocal toric IOL (FineVision PODFT, PhysIOL s.a., Liege, Belgium) were enrolled. In this paper we consider the problem of reconstructing architectural scenes from multiple photographs taken from arbitrarily viewpoints. The original contribution of this work is the use of a map as a source of a priori knowledge and geometric constraints in order to obtain in a fast and simple way a detailed model of a scene. We suppose images are uncalibrated and have at least one planar structure as a facade for exploiting the planar homography induced between world plane and image to calculate a first estimation of the projection matrix. Purpose: Compare subjective (Rx) and objective (ObjRx) refractions outcomes with two autorefractors models and an aberrometer in eyes implanted with a hydrophobic trifocal IOL (FineVision POD F GF, Physiol, Liége, Belgium) and a hydrophilic one (FineVision POD F, Physiol, Liége, Belgium).
