Darbā tiek atspoguļota un analizēta patstāvīgo valsts pārvaldes iestāžu problemātika. Mērķis ir identificēt galvenās problēmas saistībā ar šīm iestādēm un to darbību, kā arī piedāvāt iespējamos risinājumus. Galvenās darbā apskatītās problēmas ir patstāvīgo valsts pārvaldes iestāžu nepieciešamība un vieta valsts pārvaldes sistēmā, šo iestāžu tiesiskais statuss un tiesības izdot ārējos normatīvos aktus, kā arī iespējas uzraudzīt un kontrolēt šo iestāžu darbu. Discussions of Fatherhood in Male Batterer Treatment Group

The aim of this study was to examine how men who have perpetrated violence toward their partners and participated in batterer group talked about being a father and how they perceived their own fatherhood. The discussion in the group was analyzed qualitatively by using the methods of content analysis. In traditional fatherhood, they talked about avoidant, passiveness, distant, indifference, and authoritative controlling ways of acting. These men also created an image of themselves as active and caring fathers, thus including empathy and nurture in the concept of fatherhood. The aim of the research was to develop a motor skills assessment tool for 4-6- year-old children that would include test items for body awareness and basic motor skills, therefore demonstrating the children’s motor performance and related problems and supporting the planning of training programs. First, the contents of nine existing motor skills assessment tools were analyzed. Then, a new pilot test was prepared to test a sample group of 906 children (the mean age 5.1 years, SD 0.41, 48% boys, 52% girls). Uztvertā skolas klimata un vecāku pārraudzības saistība ar pusaudžu savstarpējo iebiedēšanu kibervidē

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas saistības pastāv starp uztverto skolas klimatu, adekvātu vecāku pārraudzību un pusaudžu savstarpējo iebiedēšanu kibervidē, un tika pētīts vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības starp grupām no 5. līdz 9. klasei un no 10. līdz 12. klasei. Tika noskaidrots kā uztvertā skolas klimata un vecāku pārraudzības dimensijas izskaidro pusaudžu kiberupuru un kiberiebiedētāju pieredzi. Pētījumā kopā piedalījās 309 Latvijas skolu skolēni no 5. līdz 12. klasei. Respondenti tika dalīti divās vecuma grupās: 5. – 9. klase (200 respondenti) un 10. – 12. klase (109 respondenti). Based on consumers' preferences, AI (artificial intelligence) recommendation automatically filters information, which provokes scholars' debate. Supporters believe that by analyzing the consumers' preferences, AI recommendation enables consumers to choose products more quickly and with lower cost. Critics deem that consumers are more easily trapped in information cocoons because of the use of AI recommendation. This reduces the possibility of consumers contacting with a variety of commodities, thus lowering the consumer decision quality.
