The impact of consumer local engagement on local store patronage and customer satisfaction

This paper examines the drivers of local grocery retail patronage. Drawing on institutional and social network theory literature, we develop a framework to investigate how consumers’ personal values and engagement with local communities affect their satisfaction and local store patronage. We test our model with survey data on 1504 Finnish consumers. Our results show that the relationship between customer local engagement and local retail patronage is indirect rather than direct, and it is mediated by the vitality of local services, social interaction, and consumer satisfaction.

Examining Consumers’ Usage Intention of Contactless Payment Systems

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop and test a conceptual model that combines the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) with a consumer brand engagement (CBE) model to predict consumers’ usage intentions toward contactless payment systems in a developed country. Design/methodology/approach The authors cooperated with a contactless payment service provider in Finland and reached out to 22,000 customers, resulting in 1,165 usable responses. Diplomdarbs ir pētījuma rezultāts, lai noskaidrotu kā dažādas vārda krājuma apguves metodes var palīdzēt skolēniem iemācīties, atcerēties un apgūt jaunus vārdus, izmantojot divas dažādas metodes valodas mācīšanā – gramatikas-tulkošanas metodi un komunikatīvo pieeju. Abas mācību metodes tika izvēlētas, ņemot vērā to kontrastējošās īpašības un popularitāti mūsdienu klasē, izpētot, kā dažādām mācību metodēm var būt atšķirīgi rezultāti vārdu apguvei. Pēc tam tika izvēlēta viena ceturtā klase kas tika sadalīta divās grupās, pirmā grupa tika mācīta izmantojot komunikatīvo pieeju, otrā grupa – gramatikas-tulkošanas metodi. Digitālās spēles angļu valodas vārdu krājuma apgūšanai 5-6 gadu veciem bērniem

Pēdējo gadu laikā moderno tehnoloģiju izmantošana ir kļuvusi populāra arī pirmsskolā. Šī iemesla dēļ diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā moderno tehnoloģiju sniegtās iespējas var palīdzēt apgūt angļu valodas vārdu krājumu 5-6 gadu veciem bērniem. Tika veikts atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums Salaspils bērnudārzā “Jāņtārpiņš”. Pētījums ilga divus mēnešus, un tajā piedalījās 17 piecus un sešus gadus veci bērni un viņu vecāki. Pētījumā tika izmantotas šādas datu vākšanas metodes – anketa vecākiem, skolotājas novērojumi pēc digitālo spēļu īstenošanas un vārdiņu tests, lai pārbaudītu, vai bērni ir kādus no tiem iemācījušies.
