This study provides a rare examination of the development process of collaborative applications from a research idea into a commercially introduced software. The research challenge here is to investigate how to enhance the communication and information sharing in process control environments with computerized tools. Pro gradu -tutkielmassa käsitellään äänikirjan kehitysvaiheita, käyttäjäkokemuksia sekä tulevaisuudennäkymiä. Tutkielmassa äänikirjaa tarkastellaan myös mediumina ja tutustutaan sen tekoprosessin osa-alueisiin. Tavoitteena on luoda katsaus äänikirjan nykyhetkeen ja menneisyyteen, joiden pohjalta tehdään päätelmiä äänikirjan tulevaisuudesta. Tutkimusmateriaalina käytetään pääosin kirjallisuuden alalla toimivien henkilöiden artikkeleita ja julkaisuja. Lähteet on valikoitu niin, että ne edustavat mahdollisimman tuoreita julkaisuja. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā pusaudža un galvenā aprūpētāja sērošanas komunikācijas atvērtība saistīta ar pusaudža sērošanas intensitāti, kā arī pārbaudīt vai droša piesaiste mediē attiecības starp komunikāciju un sērošanu. Pētījumā piedalījās 51 pusaudzis, kurš zaudējis vienu vai abus vecākus pēdējo sešu gadu laikā. Izmantojot šķērsgriezuma pētījuma dizainu, pusaudži aizpildīja pašnovērtējuma aptaujas: pētījuma ietvaros latviski adaptētu kompleksās sērošanas traucējumu aptauju jauniešiem, vecāku un vienaudžu piesaistes aptauju bērniem, kā arī pētījumam izveidotu pusaudža – aprūpētāja sērošanas komunikācijas izvērtējuma aptauju. Agile development benefits from fast feedback from various stakeholders. If implemented in a suitable way, formal methods can enhance the agile development process. With an executable formal specification, it is possible to analyse and simulate the behaviour of the target system before it is being built. However, for the users' and developers' natural participation in the development process, it is necessary to use a real end-user interface and bind it to the execution environment being used in the simulations and animations. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the use of the prototype of a mobile application for the enhancement of children's motivation for writing. The results are explored from students' and experts' perspectives.Design/methodology/approachThis study is based on a field trial and expert evaluations of a prototype of a mobile application. The field trial data consists of questionnaire data collected from elementary school students (n=25) who used the mobile prototype.
