Ce dossier d'HDR retrace dans un premier volume (document de synthèse) un parcours de recherche qui se situe au carrefour de l’histoire juridique, politique et culturelle de l’Allemagne du XXe siècle et qui m’a menée de travaux d’abord centrés sur l’histoire des idées juridiques sous Weimar vers des recherches relevant d’une histoire culturelle de la justice et au-delà de la démocratie ouest-allemande après 1945. Abstract: Comparative penologists have described neoliberal and social democratic jurisdictions as though they exist at opposite ends of a continuum of inclusion and exclusion, and as though neoliberal states are inactive and social democratic states are invasive. This article, which is based on more than 129 interviews with men convicted of sex offenses in England & Wales and Norway, uses Cohen's work on inclusion and McNeill's typology of rehabilitative forms to complicate this simplistic binary. AbstractIn prison, the provision of care and the surveillance of inmates takes place in multiple locations with several often contradictory demands. Inmates may experience a fragmentation of services because of the separate silos in which criminal justice service and mental health professionals work and the distinct ways of working that develop within these. Contextuality is usually defined as absence of a joint distribution for a set of measurements (random variables) with known joint distributions of some of its subsets. However, if these subsets of measurements are not disjoint, contextuality is mathematically impossible even if one generally allows (as one must) for random variables not to be jointly distributed. We prove a quantifier elimination and a rectilinearisation result for generalised quasianalytic algebras.
Finite type invariants of knots in homology 3-spheres with respect to null LP-surgeries

We study a theory of finite type invariants for null-homologous knots in rational homology 3-spheres with respect to null Lagrangian-preserving surgeries. It is an analogue in the setting of the rational homology of the Goussarov-Rozansky theory for knots in integral homology 3-spheres. We give a partial combinatorial description of the graded space associated with our theory and determine some cases when this description is complete. We conjecture that no other classical Lie superalgebra can satisfy an Amitsur–Levitzki type super identity. We show several (super) identities for the standard super polynomials. Finally, a combinatorial conjecture on the standard skew supersymmetric polynomials is stated.
Irreducible characters of $3'$-degree of finite symmetric, general linear and unitary groups

Abstract Let G be a finite symmetric, general linear, or general unitary group defined over a field of characteristic coprime to 3. We construct a canonical correspondence between irreducible characters of degree coprime to 3 of G and those of N G ( P ) , where P is a Sylow 3-subgroup of G . Since our bijections commute with the action of the absolute Galois group over the rationals, we conclude that fields of values of character correspondents are the same.
