We used the three latest rounds of the religion module of International Social Survey Programme to study secularization in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, focusing on belief in God. We restricted our sample to the affiliated with the majority Protestant churches and the unaffiliated and analyzed the trends toward disaffiliation and disbelief in God. Then, we studied the association between confidence in churches, religious/secular upbringing, and demographic controls with belief in God using multinomial logistic regression models. Statistical Properties of Double Hoyt Fading With Applications to the Performance Analysis of Wireless Communication Systems

In this paper, we investigate the statistical properties of double Hoyt fading channels, where the overall received signal is determined by the product of two statistically independent but not necessarily identically distributed single Hoyt processes. Finite-range integral expressions are first derived for the probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution function (CDF), level-crossing rate (LCR), and average duration of fades of the envelope fading process. A closed-form approximate solution is also deduced for the LCR by making use of the Laplace approximation theorem. In this paper we document a so-far neglected case of microvariation involving resumptive pronouns in the left-dislocation construction in Meranese, spoken in South Tyrol, and Mòcheno, spoken in the Fersina valley (Trentino). While in standard German resumptive elements in this construction belong to the class of D-pronouns, the two Tyrolean dialects considered in the paper exhibit, as resumptive pronouns, both (i) D-pronouns and (ii) pronominal usages of the distal demonstrative formed by the definite article (D) and sèll corresponding to ‘that one’. This study aimed to evaluate the association between preoperative SARS-CoV-2 testing and postoperative pulmonary complications in patients undergoing elective cancer surgery. Methods This international cohort study included adult patients undergoing elective surgery for cancer in areas affected by SARS-CoV-2 up to 19 April 2020. Highlights • Antibiotics were a main part of COVID-19 treatments during the first epidemic peak. • Bacterial coinfections seem to be rare, especially if no ICU transfer needed. • We studied the place of antibiotics and the impact on prognosis of patients. • Antibiotics were prescribed if more severe infection and has no impact on prognosis. • We think that antibiotic therapy must be not widely prescribed.

There is an unmet need of models for early prediction of morbidity and mortality of Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19).
