Bakalaura darba tēma ir Viktorijas laika sociālās problēmas E. Gaskelas romānos. Darba mērķis ir salīdzināt Gaskelas romānus „Mērija Bārtone” un „Ziemeļi un dienvidi” ar teorētisko informāciju par Viktorijas laika sociālajām problēmam un industrializācijas procesu 19. gadsimtā Lielbritānijā. Salīdzinājums ir veikts, lai atklātu kādas sociālas problēmas ir attēlotas romānos, un cik precīzi Gaskelas atainojums atbilst 19. gadsimta situācijai Lielbritānijā. Pētījumu metodes ir: vēsturiska un salīdzinoša analīze, teksta analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka Gaskela attēloja dažādas sociālas problēmas kuras ir saistītas ar 19. gadsimta industrializāciju Lielbritānijā.

Šis raksts ir veltīts sieviešu diskursa analīzei spāņu rakstnieces Karmenas Riko Godojas romānā “Cómo ser una mujer y no morir en el intento”. Darba mērķis ir analizēt, cik lielā mērā sievietes diskurss ir klātesošs Karmenas Riko Godojas romānā un kādas ir tam raksturīgas iezīmes. Kā teorētiskā bāze tiek izmantoti Visente Mateu un Visente Ruisa darbi un Amparo Tusona Valsa teorētiskā pieeja. Empīriskajā daļā ir aprakstīta sieviešu pasaule un viņu ikdiena, analizēts romāna galveno varoņu diskurss, lai parādītu atšķirību starp sievietes diskursu un vīrieša diskursu. UV laser induced photolysis of glycolic acid isolated in argon matrices

The photochemistry of matrix-isolated glycolic acid, induced by UV light, was studied by FTIR spectroscopy and B3LYPD3/6-311++G(3df,3pd) calculations. Several decomposition pathways were found to take place upon 212 nm and 226 nm wavelengths irradiation. A number of complexes formed between photoproducts were identified, among them those of formaldehyde with water, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide as well as the H2O-CO complexes. The structure and spectroscopic assignment of the photoproducts were made comparing the experimental results with the theoretical predictions and available literature data. Catalytic Dehydration of Fructose to 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural in Aqueous Medium over Nb2O5-Based Catalysts

The catalytic dehydration of fructose to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) in water was performed in the presence of pristine Nb2O5 and composites containing Nb and Ti, Ce or Zr oxides. In all experiments, fructose was converted to HMF using water as the solvent. The catalysts were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, N2 physical adsorption, infrared and Raman spectroscopy and temperature-programmed desorption of NH3. espanolEn el presente estudio se analiza la relacion entre la profesion del padre y/o la madre y el autoconcepto, los valores y el juicio moral de los adolescentes, ademas de una breve aproximacion teorica a los tres constructos psicologicos. La muestra se compone de 350 adolescentes escolarizados con una media de 14.8 anos de edad. Se han obtenido MANOVAs, los cuales estudiaban la relacion entre la profesion del padre y la madre, y las puntuaciones objeto de investigacion.
