Abstract The present study evaluated the interplay between two mechanisms of maintenance of verbal information in working memory, namely articulatory rehearsal as described in Baddeley’s model, and attentional refreshing as postulated in Barrouillet and Camos’s Time-Based Resource-Sharing (TBRS) model. Summary Peripheral neuromas can result in an unbearable neuropathic pain and functional impairment. Their treatment is still challenging, and their optimal management is to be defined. Experimental research still plays a major role, but - although numerous neuroma models have been proposed on different animals - there is still no single model recognised as being the reference. Several models show advantages over the others in specific aspects of neuroma physiopathology, prevention or treatment, making it unlikely that a single model could be of reference. This study highlights the peculiar aspects of the business valuation process involving firms confiscated from the Mafia organisation, by pointing out some criteria to guide the selection of the appropriate valuation method. We identify some preliminary operational proposals for drawing up an effective valuation report taking social and ethical factors into account. Purpose To assess the differences that exist between two intramedullary osteosynthesis systems for the treatment of unstable proximal femoral fractures in an attempt to find out whether the use of an antirotation screw improves the final result. Objective: This article describes the process implemented in order to define and build up a Basic Monitoring and Evaluation System for Spanish Cooperation’s Culture and Development Strategy (CD-S). Research Design: Delphi techniques were used to assess a wide catalogue of indicators for each of the strategic areas included in the CD-S. Afterward, those indicators considered most suitable for monitoring and evaluating purposes were selected based on the assessments provided by a panel of experts.
