Determining success factors in the implementation of social accounting

The aim of this paper is to determine the success factors based on principal change driving forces when implementing social accounting into social companies, and by extension, gain an insight into the overall impact of social accounting, in other words the monetization of social value. Purpose – After almost a decade, the re-appearance of dengue fever in Argentina caused panic and fears. Unlike Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay, where prevention policies have been followed, the future of dengue is uncertain in Argentina; the present paper does not have political affiliation but the purpose of this paper is to emphasizes the role that mass media plays in the coverage of epidemics. Institutionalisation in professional freestyle snowboarding – Finnish professional riders’ perceptions

Richard Scott’s neo-institutional tools this study examines how Finnish professional snowboarders perceive the possibilities of self-expression amid the changes that have taken place in the field of professional snowboarding in recent years. The results indicate that snowboarders perceive competitions and filming or photo shoots as two different subfields in which different institutional elements are emphasised. Parliamentary sources in the comparative study of conceptual history: methodological aspects and illustrations of a research proposal

SUMMARY This article proposes that historians and political theorists should exploit parliamentary sources to move from the writing of national histories to the comparative study of the conceptual history of European political cultures. Complementing the German lexicographical approach to conceptual history, the authors argue that parliamentary debates in several European countries provide more reliable sources for the past use of the language of politics. Science policy increasingly focuses on maximising societal benefits from science and technology investments, but often reduces those benefits to activities involving codifying and selling knowledge, thereby idealising best practice academic behaviours around entrepreneurial superstars.
