Manipulator Control System Model Estimation Unsing a Real Time Finite State Machine based on Statistical LPC Analysis

2005

This paper presents a new statistical method based on a real-time Last Principal Component (LPC) algorithm to estimate single-input-single-output (SISO) and multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) varying time dynamical models from input output data clusters of non stationary black boxes. Each of data clusters is on a time window. A real time estimation algorithm via statistical LPC algorithm and an appraiser called "finite state machine" is then described. For every data cluster the finite state machine updates the parameters of a Gaussian varying time model via an optimality design criterion that maximises the Likelihood function. Using the LPC algorithm and the finite state machine, the es…

Pastāvīgā elektrokardiostimulatora implantācijas indikāciju prognostiskie faktori pēc transkatetra aortas vārstuļa implantācijas

2016

Ievads.

Physiological Micromechanics of the Anterior Mitral Valve Leaflet

2011

An improved understanding of mitral valve (MV) function remains an important goal for determining mechanisms underlying valve disease and for developing novel therapies. Critical to heart valve tissue homeostasis is the valvular interstitial cells (VICs), which reside in the interstitium and maintain the extracellular matrix (ECM) through both protein synthesis and enzymatic degradation [1]. There is scant experimental data on the alterations of the MV fiber network reorganization as a function of load, which is critical for implementation of computational strategies that attempt to link this meso-micro scale phenomenon. The observed large scale deformations experienced by VICs could be imp…

Aortic stenosis: insights on pathogenesis and clinical implications

2016

Aortic stenosis (AS) is a common valvular heart disease in the Western populations, with an estimated overall prevalence of 3% in adults over 75 years. To understand its patho-biological processes represents a priority. In elderly patients, AS usually involves trileaflet valves and is referred to as degenerative calcific processes. Scientific evidence suggests the involvement of an active "atherosclerosis-like" pathogenesis in the initiation phase of degenerative AS. To the contrary, the progression could be driven by different forces (such as mechanical stress, genetic factors and interaction between inflammation and calcification). The improved understanding presents potentially new thera…

Deguna vārsta kustīguma kvantitatīvo noteikšanas metožu salīdzinoša analīze

2019

New flow-multicommutation method for the photo-chemiluminometric determination of the carbamate pesticide asulam

2004

This paper deals with a straightforward automated method for the determination of asulam in water based on the use of a flow manifold including three computer-controlled solenoid valves. The method involves irradiating on an aqueous solution of asulam in glycine buffer at pH 8.3 with UV light during 90 s, then follows the oxidation with potassium permanganate in a sulphuric medium and chemiluminescence-based detection of the resulting photoproducts. The limit of detection thus achieved is 40 mug l(-1). The detector response is linear up to a 5 mg l(-1) asulam concentration and the throughput is 30 samples h(-1). In parallel tests, oxidation with alkaline ferricyanide was also assessed and t…

Novel molluskan biomineralization proteins retrieved from proteomics: a case study with upsalin.

2012

12 pages; International audience; The formation of the molluskan shell is regulated by an array of extracellular proteins secreted by the calcifying epithelial cells of the mantle. These proteins remain occluded within the recently formed biominerals. To date, many shell proteins have been retrieved, but only a few of them, such as nacreins, have clearly identified functions. In this particular case, by combining molecular biology and biochemical approaches, we performed the molecular characterization of a novel protein that we named Upsalin, associated with the nacreous shell of the freshwater mussel Unio pictorum. The full sequence of the upsalin transcript was obtained by RT-PCR and 5'/3…
