AbstractIn this study, we examined whether maternal perceived job insecurity (JI) affected depressive symptoms in their adolescent children. Specifically, we tested a mediator-moderator model in which we hypothesized that maternal JI was related to adolescent depressive symptoms indirectly via maternal depressive symptoms. Most importantly, we also explored whether this indirect path was moderated by two buffering resources, i.e., maternal off-job recovery and adolescent self-esteem. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, millaisia ovat opetuksellisesti haasteelliset sosioemotionaalista tukea tarvitsevat oppilaat alakoulun 3. – 6. luokilla opettavien luokan- ja erityisopettajien kokemuksen mukaan. Lisäksi selvitettiin, miten opettajat (N=44) kokevat selviytyvänsä sosioemotionaalista tukea tarvitsevan oppilaan opettajana. Selviytymisen kokemuksessa mitattavat osa-alueet olivat opettaja-oppilassuhde, opettajan tarjoama sosioemotionaalinen tuki ja opettajan minäpystyvyys. This work-in-progress paper in research category reports preliminary findings on how students taking introductory computing courses develop identity from the perspective of study difficulties. The motivation was that students identified lack of meaning and prospects (cf. identity) as a study difficulty in a previous qualitative study. The present study further explores this finding by issuing both an identity development and a self-efficacy scale to a larger first-year student cohort. Great expectations: Learning the boundaries of design rights

We present a case study of an increase in design right filings and concurrent design right litigations in an industry that previously had little experience of design right protection. The motives for and outcomes of filing, and how these changed over time are discussed. We go on to explore the events, which offered the decision makers opportunities to update their beliefs about the scope of design right protection. We find that filing motives changed from specific protection goals to freedom to operate over time. We also find that the actors faced several, but sometimes contradictory, learning opportunities.
