Filling the ___-s in Finnish MWE lexicons

This paper describes the automatic construction of FinnMWE: a lexicon of Finnish Multi-Word Expressions (MWEs). In focus here are syntactic frames: verbal constructions with arguments in a particular morphological form. The verbal frames are automatically extracted from FinnWordNet and English Wiktionary. The resulting lexicon interoperates with dependency tree searching software so that instances can be quickly found within dependency treebanks. The extraction and enrichment process is explained in detail. The resulting resource is evaluated in terms of its coverage of different types of MWEs. It is also compared with and evaluated against Finnish PropBank. peerReviewed

L'articolo prende in considerazione i verbi che indicano una percezione sensoriale (per es. udëi 'vedere' audì 'sentire') e le strutture sintattiche che possono selezionare in ladino gardenese. In questa varietà (così come in badiotto, che qui non viene analizzato) si utilizza spesso un gerundio; lo stesso costrutto può essere usato anche in altre lingue romanze, come in francese o spagnolo, ma a differenza di queste il gardenese non permette come alternativa l'uso di un infinito semplice. [Johdanto] Koloratiivirakenne on laajalti itämerensuomalaisissa tunnettu omaleimainen kahden verbin muodostama konstruktio, jossa semantiikka ja syntaksi nivoutuvat toisiinsa. Neutraali verbi nimeää toiminnan (esim. mennä) ja koloratiivinen verbi kuvaa sitä tarkemmin (esim. körötellä). Rakenne voidaan jakaa neljään tyyppiin sillä perusteella, missä järjestyksessä ja muodossa verbit ovat (ks. myös Hamunen 2017: 103). A: neutraali verbi infinitiivissä ja koloratiivinen verbi finiittisenä, esim. mennä körötteli. B: koloratiivinen verbi finiittisenä ja neutraali verbi infinitiivissä, esim. körötteli mennä.
