Dissection after balloon angioplasty of coronary arteries may give rise to an unfavourable early outcome. Compared with coronary angiography, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) allows more detailed characterisation of dissections. We investigated the incidence and type of dissections after balloon angioplasty in calcified coronary lesions. The main posterior watershed zone of the choroid is located between the nasal edge of the optic disc and the fovea and represents the area situated between the territories supplied by the temporal and nasal posterior ciliary arteries. In the fluorescein angiographies of 800 normal subjects a watershed zone was not observed in 33.1% due to technical reasons and in 22.3% due to the simultaneous filling of the peripapillar and macular choriocapillaris. The transversus and rectus abdominis musculoperitoneal (TRAMP) flap, a novel composite flap supplied by the deep inferior epigastric vessels, was used successfully for partial vulvovaginal reconstruction following anterior and posterior exenteration. The full potential of the TRAMP flap in vulvovaginal reconstruction is being investigated further.
