PS7:145 Il-34, not csf-1, similarly mediates rheumatoid and lupus arthritis in patients

2018

While Myeloid cells are abundant in lupus arthritis (LA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA), based on clinical presentation LA and RA are considered distinct diseases. Although inflammatory arthritis is common in patients with lupus, the pivotal mechanisms leading to joint damage have not been investigated. We tested the hypothesis that IL-34, but not CSF-1, is a predictive biomarker that is integral in perpetuating synovial destructive inflammation in both LA and RA. We report the novel findings that: using longitudinally tracked patients, IL–34, not CSF–1, is a clinical predictive biomarker for both LA and RA; and IL–34 is more robustly expressed in the synovial tissue, cells and fluid compare…

Lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1/KDM1A/AOF2/BHC110) is expressed and is an epigenetic drug target in chondrosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, osteosarcoma…

2011

Summary Lysine-specific demethylase 1 (GeneID 23028), a flavin-dependent monoamine oxidoreductase and a histone demethylase, serves as an epigenetic coregulator of transcription. Lysine-specific demethylase 1 is up-regulated in neuroblastoma and in bladder, breast, colorectal, gastric, lung, and neuroendocrine cancers, and its overexpression drives the cell cycle of otherwise nontransformed human cells, suggesting oncogenic properties. Lysine-specific demethylase 1 was recently reported to be also overexpressed in several different mesenchymal tumors. We investigated lysine-specific demethylase 1 expression in over 500 sarcomas by gene expression profiling and tissue microarray-coupled immu…

Physicochemical stability of carfilzomib (Kyprolis®) containing solutions in glass vials, ready-to-administer plastic syringes and infusion bags over…

2017

Centralized aseptic preparation of ready-to-administer carfilzomib containing parenteral solutions in plastic syringes and polyolefine (PO) infusion bags needs profound knowledge about the physicochemical stability in order to determine the beyond-use-date of the preparations. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the physicochemical stability of carfilzomib solution marketed as Kyprolis® powder for solution for infusion. Reconstituted solutions and ready-to-administer preparations of Kyprolis® stored under refrigeration (2–8℃) or at room temperature (25℃) were analyzed at predetermined intervals over a maximum storage period of 28 days. Chemical stability of carfilzomib wa…

ANTECEDENTES DEL ABASTECIMIENTO DE MADERA EN LA RIBERA DEL JÚCAR

2015

Wood's supply was an essential aspect for the Kingdom of Valencia during the medieval centuries. The large plain around the coast and the forest shortage caused, firstly, the development of supplying strategies and, secondly, the creation of specifical orders in order to guarantee it. In that sense, Júcar and its tributary Cabriel played an important role in the trunks traffic coming from the mountains of Cuenca. Also, the surrounding countryside was primordial in the procedure. In this article we are going to analyse the methods in use in the Almoravid period and the circumstances of the trunks navigation on the river after the conquest. El abastecimiento de madera fue un aspecto fundament…

On deformation of Poisson manifolds of hydrodynamic type

2001

We study a class of deformations of infinite-dimensional Poisson manifolds of hydrodynamic type which are of interest in the theory of Frobenius manifolds. We prove two results. First, we show that the second cohomology group of these manifolds, in the Poisson-Lichnerowicz cohomology, is ``essentially'' trivial. Then, we prove a conjecture of B. Dubrovin about the triviality of homogeneous formal deformations of the above manifolds.

Enzymatic alteration of C1q, the collagen-like subcomponent of the first component of complement, leads to cross-reactivity with type II collagen

1988

AbstractNative serum C1q, the collagenous-like subcomponent of the first component of complement, is not recognized by polyclonal anti-collagen type II antibodies. However, when purified C1q was subjected to limited proteolysis by collagenase it showed antigenic cross-reactivity with collagen type II. The same cross-reactivity was observed with hemolytically active C1q in synovial fluids of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), whereas C1q from synovial fluids of patients with osteoarthritis (OA), villo-nodular synovitis and ankylosing spondylitis was not recognized by this antibody. However, incubation of synovial fluid C1q of OA patients with synovial fluid leucocytes from RA patients …

On the Fučík spectrum of the p-Laplacian with no-flux boundary condition

2023

In this paper, we study the quasilinear elliptic problem \begin{align*} \begin{aligned} -\Delta_{p} u&= a\l(u^+\r)^{p-1}-b\l(u^-\r)^{p-1} \quad && \text{in } \Omega,\\ u & = \text{constant} &&\text{on } \partial\Omega,\\ 0&=\int_{\partial \Omega}\left|\nabla u\right|^{p-2}\nabla u\cdot \nu \,\diff \sigma,&& \end{aligned} \end{align*} where the operator is the $p$-Laplacian and the boundary condition is of type no-flux. In particular, we consider the Fu\v{c}\'{\i}k spectrum of the $p$-Laplacian with no-flux boundary condition which is defined as the set $\fucik$ of all pairs $(a,b)\in\R^2$ such that the problem above has a nontrivial solution. It turns out…

Nonexistence of solutions to higher order evolution inequalities with nonlocal source term on Riemannian manifolds

2022

We establish sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of nontrivial solutions to higher order evolution inequalities, with respect to the time variable. We consider a nonlocal source term, and work on complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds. The obtained conditions depend on the parameters of the problem and the geometry of the manifold. Our main result recovers some nonexistence theorems from the literature, established in the whole Euclidean space.
