Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta epideiktiskā rētorika romiešu biogrāfiskās prozas tekstā: Svetonija Divpadsmit valdnieku dzīves (De vita Caesarum). Darba galvenais mērķis ir, pamatojoties uz antīko rētorikas teoriju, īpaši uz romiešu teorētiķu darbiem, noskaidrot epideiktiskās rētorikas pamatprincipu pielietojumu Svetonija rakstītajās valdnieku biogrāfijās. Pirmkārt, darba gaitā tiek izpētīti autoru darbi, kas ietver antīkās rētorikas teorijas iztirzājumu, lai noskaidrotu galvenās rētorikas pamatnostādnes. Olfactory cues and the value of information : Voles interpret cues differently based on recent predator encounters

Prey strategically respond to the risk of predation by varying their behavior while balancing the tradeoffs of food and safety. We present here an experiment that tests the way the same indirect cues of predation risk are interpreted by bank voles, Myodes glareolus, as the game changes through exposure to a caged weasel. Using optimal patch use, we asked wild-caught voles to rank the risk they perceived. We measured their response to olfactory cues in the form of weasel bedding, a sham control in the form of rabbit bedding, and an odor-free control. The present study aims to provide insights into the experiences of early school leavers within the Finnish context. We conducted a narrative inquiry among eleven early school leavers who were in prison when they were interviewed. Self Determination Theory (SDT), more specifically the concept of frustration of the three basic psychological needs of competence, relatedness and autonomy, and the tendency of people to move towards more supporting environments, was used as an interpretative tool, along with contextual information. ObjectiveOur aim was to summarize the efficacy and safety of atomoxetine, amphetamines, and methylphenidate in schizophrenia.MethodsWe undertook a systematic review, searching PubMed/Scopus/Clinicaltrials.gov for double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled studies of psychostimulants or atomoxetine in schizophrenia published up to 1 January 2017. A meta-analysis of outcomes reported in two or more studies is presented.ResultsWe included 22 studies investigating therapeutic effects of stimulants (k=14) or measuring symptomatic worsening/relapse prediction after stimulant challenge (k=6). Pētījuma mērķis. Teorētiski un praktiski izzināt vingrinājumu un rotaļu izmantošanas iespējas priekšējo mēleņu izrunas pilnveidei. Diplomdarbam izvirzītā hipotēze un uzdevumi. Priekšējo mēleņu izrunas traucējumu novēršana 5 – 7 gadīgiem bērniem noritēs sekmīgi, ja logopēds izzinās bērnu priekšējo mēleņu izrunas īpatnības un mērķtiecīgi izmantos vingrinājumus un rotaļas koriģējoši attīstošajā darbībā. Raksturos logopēdiski koriģējoši attīstošo darbību mēleņu pareizas izrunas sekmēšanai. Veiks pedagoģisko izmēģinājuma darbību ar bērniem, kuriem ir priekšējo mēleņu izrunas traucējumi.
