This article wants to be a close reading of La Victoria, Federica Montseny’s novel published in 1925, in order to achieve two objectives: on the one hand, to break down the cliches that normally appear in Montseny’s work –her “revolutionary melodrama”- as a perfect example of the eternal “ethic-aesthetic” paradox and, on the other hand, to point out the capability of this kind of study to dynamize the so-called “women’s literature” in the context of the XX Century Spanish literature.

This article argues that literature can play a key role in the processes of ethical deliberation; therefore it can be regarded as an extremely useful tool to justify public decision-making. In order to support this thesis I examine Nussbaum’s proposal of perceptive equilibrium as a method to conduct the public deliberation processes which integrates the emotions in its structure. Finally, I analyse one of the possible applications of the proposed method: introducing narrative texts, both historical and fictional, in the curricula as a method for ethical deliberation.

The aim of this article is to read Rogues, in order to show that Derrida is neither a philosopher of democracy nor a critic of sovereignty , but rather a thinker of democratic sovereignty. Taking my cue from his Aporias, I argue that democratic sovereignty is aporetically in excess over itself, for it is based on articulating the path through the im-possible passage from the unconditional injunction of the ‘promise’ to the exigency of sovereignty. This article explores paradoxes that emerge in the mentoring of highly-educated, female, foreign-born job-seekers in Finland. Theoretically, the study is linked to the growing body of research scrutinising the integration or discrimination of migrants in working life. It analyses cultural practices and ideas that are visible and affect the mentoring interaction. On a more practical level, the paper determines how the mentors and mentees experience the mentoring, and how intercultural mentoring could be improved in order to promote mentees’ employment. This is the continuation of a study based on the traditional image model of destination, formed by the constructions of cognition, emotion, and image. The objective is to study the model through a deconstruction in all forms through the application of neuroscience, a system of structural equations, virtual reality, and the Spanish architectural and cultural heritage as a stimulus. The application of the VR to the renderization of ancient and lost buildings is one important topic in the cultural heritage field nowadays. Virtual reality, VR, is challenging marketers to understand both brand interaction and the customer experience at the point of sale. In order to test the usefulness of VR in retailing, research must address how the customer’s visual attention in a VR setting affects his/her behavior. There are two main drivers for this research.
