The present study discusses the development of the orthographical system of the language of the Bačka and Srem Ruthenians, in the Voyvodina region of the former Yugoslavia. In the early 20th century H. Kostel’nyk developed an orthographical system, based on Ukrainian Cyrillic. How- ever, after the Second World War there was an attempt to reform orthog- raphy, which clearly reflected the new political climate. This reform was promoted by J. Bakov and pro-government circles of Rusyns. The aim of the paper is to analyse the reasons for this reform proposal and its failure.

The article focuses on digital discourses related to Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa, the three biggest municipalities in Finland’s capital region. The data consist of texts from the discussion forum of Suomi24 that was analysed to find out how forum users produce socio-spatial distinctions by categorizing some groups as ‘others’ thus differentiating in-groups and out-groups. The analysis used methods of comprised corpus assisted discourse studies (CADS), including collocation analysis. Naapureihin kohdistuvat ennakkoluulot ja asenteet on ilmaistu aikojen kuluessa monin kielellisin tavoin. Erilaisilla kölleillä (kölli ’liikanimi, haukkumanimi’) on nimitelty naapuripitäjien asukkaita tai kauempanakin asuvia, ja murteista on tehty kaskuja ja matkimuksia. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan, millaisia nimityksiä suomenkieliset puhujat käyttävät kumppaneistaan eli seurustelu-, avo- tai aviosuhteidensa toisesta osapuolesta, miten nämä nimitykset vaihtelevat eri konteksteissa sekä sitä, mitkä tekijät vaihteluun vaikuttavat. Tarkastelu keskittyy erityisesti tilanteiseen vaihteluun, joskin huomiota kiinnitetään myös runsaasti esiintyvään käyttäjäkohtaiseen vaihteluun. Vidusskolēni, veicot patstāvīgu sociolingvistisku pētījumu, veido iemaņas patstāvīgam izziņas procesam, padziļina zināšanas vispārīgās valodniecības jautājumu apguvē, iepazīstas ar mūsdienu zinātniskās pētniecības darba būtību, pilnveido prasmes darbā ar elektronisko literatūru, apgūst prasmi apstrādāt iegūtos datus, analizēt tos, izvērtēt paveikto un noformēt pētījuma darbu. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt vidusskolēna izpratnes veidošanos par vispārīgo valodniecību, veicot patstāvīgu sociolingvistisku pētījumu. This requires the ability to group complex sounds into distinct auditory categories based on their shared features. Problems in phonetic learning have been suggested to underlie language learning difficulties in dyslexia, a developmental reading-skill deficit. Using the general notion of cross section fluctuations in hadron-nucleus scattering at high energies, we derive an expression for the cross section of incoherent J / ψ photoproduction on heavy nuclei d σ γ A → J / ψ Y / d t , which includes both elastic d σ γ p → J / ψ p / d t and proton-dissociation d σ γ p → J / ψ Y / d t photoproduction on target nucleons. We find that, with good accuracy, d σ γ A → J / ψ Y / d t can be expressed as a product of the sum of the d σ γ p → J / ψ p / d t and d σ γ p → J / ψ Y / d t cross sections, which have been measured at HERA, and the common nuclear shadowing factor, which is calculated using the leading twist nuclear shadowing model.
