There is growing interest in multiple sequence image analysis to represent those data in a new landscape, for instance reconstruction of old films, mosaicing of images. This paper focuses attention on the mosaic problem; it introduces a naive method to link together images where a common part of the scene is present among two images. Characterization of pigments on decorated pottery fragments has been fully carried out by nondestructive x-ray absorbance spectroscopy (XAS). The samples were a series of pottery shards excavated from the archeological site of Caltagirone (Sicily, Italy), a well-known ceramic production center. Aesthetical criteria and morphological observations allowed us to attribute the samples to quite different historical periods, starting from the 18th century B.C. up to the 16th century A.D. Three isoproteic (49.4%) and isolipidic (17.0%) diets were prepared: A control diet FM, in which protein was derived from fish meal and two experimental diets in which 70% of the fish meal protein was substituted with wheat gluten meal (WGM) or wheat gluten meal plus soybean meal (WGMsb), respectively. To avoid collisions, pedestrians intending to cross a road need to accurately estimate the time-to-collision (TTC) of an approaching vehicle. For TTC estimation, auditory information can be considered particularly relevant when the approaching vehicle accelerates. The sound of vehicles with internal combustion engine (ICEVs) provides characteristic auditory information about the acceleration state (increasing speed and engine load). However, for electric vehicles (EVs), the acoustic signature during acceleration is less salient.
