Este trabajo de Tesis Doctoral se centra en la síntesis y caracterización de nuevos materiales moleculares conmutables basados en FeII, los cuales presentan el fenómeno de transición de espín (spin crossover, SCO). El objetivo principal de esta tesis doctoral ha sido el diseño y estudio de nuevos materiales multifuncionales de FeII que combinan el comportamiento SCO con otra propiedad físico-química de interés. La estrecha interrelación entre el fenómeno SCO y dicha propiedad ha sido seguida y estudiada por estudios magnéticos, cristalográficos y calorimétricos, entre otros. The town that spreads in the territory no longer has “limits”, this urban sprawl produces the use of the land and an inevitable increase in demand for mobility. Since the contemporary town, organized only for those who use their car, does not guarantee those who want to move using public transport so a “slow” mobility could contribute to improving the quality of life in towns. This study reflects on a case study characterized by a continuous urbanization – a widespread town traveled “quickly” - to transform it, with sustainable urban planning and a multidisciplinary approach, in a landscape to cross through the design of different paths for different “speed”, for different types of users.

Vitamin D is a steroid hormone regulating calcium-phosphorus homeostasis, immune response and brain function. In the past thirty years, an increasing number of cohort studies, meta-analyses and randomized controlled trials (RTCs) evaluated the serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], which is considered the Vitamin D status biomarker, in patients affected by neurological, psychiatric and autoimmune diseases. Pseudospectrum of Reissner-Nordström black holes: Quasinormal mode instability and universality

Black hole spectroscopy is a powerful tool to probe the Kerr nature of astrophysical compact objects and their environment. The observation of multiple ringdown modes in gravitational waveforms could soon lead to high-precision gravitational spectroscopy, so it is critical to understand if the quasinormal mode spectrum is stable against perturbations. It was recently shown that the pseudospectrum can shed light on the spectral stability of black hole quasinormal modes. (abridged:) The XMM-Newton Extended Survey of the Taurus Molecular Cloud (XEST) surveys the most populated ~5 square degrees of the Taurus star formation region, using the XMM-Newton X-ray observatory to study the thermal structure, variability, and long-term evolution of hot plasma, to investigate the magnetic dynamo, and to search for new potential members of the association. Many targets are also studied in the optical, and high-resolution X-ray grating spectroscopy has been obtained for selected bright sources. Evidence of a non-conservative mass transfer in the ultra-compact X-ray source XB 1916-053

The dipping source XB 1916-053 is a compact binary system with an orbital period of 50 min harboring a neutron star. Using ten new {\it Chandra} observations and one {\it Swift/XRT} observation, we are able to extend the baseline of the orbital ephemeris; this allows us to exclude some models that explain the dip arrival times. The Chandra observations provide a good plasma diagnostic of the ionized absorber and allow us to determine whether it is placed at the outer rim of the accretion disk or closer to the compact object. From the available observations we are able to obtain three new dip arrival times extending the baseline of the orbital ephemeris from 37 to 40 years. From the analysis…

Introduzione: Il presente lavoro indaga la qualità delle reazioni emotive e psicologiche delle pazienti affette da cancro mammario, sottoposte a intervento chirurgico e in diversi stadi di malattia. Metodologia: Il campione è composto da 110 pazienti così suddivise: 40 in follow-up, 41 sottoposte a chemioterapia adiuvante, 29 metastatiche. Strumenti: Defense Mechanisms Inventory (DMI, Ihilevich e Gleser, 1986), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20, Taylor GJ,1992), EORTC QLQ-C30-BR23 (Fayers PM et al 1998). Focusing on some passages of life histories collected in Asmara and based on the ‘memory of Italy’, I study the representation of the past in order to reveal the shaping of the subjective experience by the colonial discourse in Eritrea. If the main aim of my essay is the understanding of the play of interactions between individuals and collectivity, one more important element I take into account is ‘memory’ seen as a “social selection of remembering” (Halbwachs).
