Aristóteles entre doxografía y biografía: sobre Diógenes Laercio V 31

Se pretende llamar la atención sobre un par de frases que aparecen justo hacia la mitad de la controvertida doxografía de Aristóteles que se puede leer en las Vidas y doctrinas de los filósofos más ilustres de Diógenes Laercio V 31, y que desde luego no corresponden a ningún sistema doxográfico conocido. Como sucede no pocas veces en la obra laerciana, la misma apreciación sobre si el filósofo debe o no enamorarse y contraer matrimonio se repite idéntica en otras doxografías completamente distintas: la cirenaica (DL II 91), la estoica (DL VII 129) y la epicúrea (DL X 118). Este estudio aborda la historia del diario valenciano Fragua Social, órgano de expresión del Comité Regional de Levante y del Comité Nacional de la CNT durante la guerra civil española de 1936 a 1939. Pretende completar y renovar los conocimientos sobre la CNT valenciana desde un enfoque cultural, y determinar su relación con la organización nacional y con las otras fuerzas sindicales y políticas durante los tres años que duró la guerra. Attendance at large-scale music festivals has captivated a global interest in these spectacular experiences, yet little is known about the lasting benefits and personal changes individuals incur following this event. This study aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of the lived experiences of individuals who attended a multi-day electronic dance music festival. The present study was primarily interested in the perceived beneficial changes within the individual, following their festival experience. W swojej codziennej pracy pracownicy socjalni doświadczają dylematów etycznych związanych z bezpośrednią praktyką zawodową. Dotyczą one m.in. takich zagadnień, jak: niepewność co do słuszności dokonywanych wyborów, konieczność wybierania między działaniem skutecznym a działaniem zgodnym z przepisami czy podejmowaniem działań wbrew oczekiwaniom i woli klienta. Czym się kierować: czy pozostać w zgodzie z własnym sumieniem, dostosować się do przepisów, pozostając w konflikcie z samym sobą, czy może częściowo dostosować system własnych wartości do przepisów, naginając je do własnego sumienia?

Interoceptīvās izpratnes saistība ar sociālo trauksmi

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vai starp sociālo trauksmi un interoceptīvo izpratni pastāv pozitīvas saistības. Lai to noskaidrotu, pētījumā piedalījās 156 dalībnieki vecumā no 18 līdz 60 gadiem (M = 29.06; SD = 10,29) no kuriem sievietes n = 129 (82.7%) un vīrieši n = 27 (17.3%), kas aizpildīja divas anketas – Sociālās trauksmes anketu un Interoceptīvās izpratnes daudzdimensionālās novērtēšanas anketu. Pētījuma rezultātos hipotēze neapstiprinājās un tika atklāts, ka starp interoceptīvo izpratni un sociālo trauksmi pastāv daļējas, statistiski nozīmīgas, negatīvas saistības. Papildus tam, tika atklāts, ka interoceptīvā izpratne kopā ar vecumu iespējams var izskaidrot lielu daļu sociālās trauk…

In this paper we revisit a taxonomy of client-side IoT software architectures that we presented a few years ago. We note that the emergence of inexpensive AI/ML hardware and new communication technologies are broadening the architectural options for IoT devices even further. These options can have a significant impact on the overall end-to-end architecture and topology of IoT systems, e.g., in determining how much computation can be performed on the edge of the network. We study the implications of the IoT device architecture choices in light of the new observations, as well as make some new predictions about future directions.
