Kinestētiskās iesildīšanās uzdevumi vārdu krājuma apguvei 5. klasē

2017

Diplomdarba mērķis ir pārbaudīt kinestētiskās iesildīšanās uzdevumus vārdu krājuma apguvei angļu valodas stundās 5.klasē. Šāda diplomdarba tēma bija izvēlēta, jo autore uzskata, ka mācot 10-11 gadus vecus skolēnus, iesildīšanās uzdevumus jāizmanto vairāk, jo tie rada pozitīvu un draudzīgu atmosfēru klasē. Turklāt, skolēni tiek iesaistīti fiziskās aktivitātēs, un šīs aktivitātes ļauj skolēniem komunicēt no stundas sākuma radot jautrību, tādējādi rosinot un uzturot viņu interesi par angļu valodas mācīšanos aizraujošā veidā. Diplomdarbs pēta kinestētiskās iesildīšanās uzdevumu izmantošanu kā vienu no noderīgākajām un saistošākajām iesildīšanās aktivitātēm vārdu krājuma apguvei 5.klasē. Atseviš…

Increasing air temperature relative to water temperature makes the mixed layer shallower, reducing phytoplankton biomass in a stratified lake

2023

The depth of the mixed layer is a major determinant of nutrient and light availability for phytoplankton in stratified waterbodies. Ongoing climate change influences surface waters through meteorological forcing, which modifies the physical structure of fresh waters including the mixed layer, but effects on phytoplankton biomass are poorly known. To determine the responses of phytoplankton biomass to the depth of the mixed layer, light availability and associated meteorological forcing, we followed daily changes in weather and water column properties in a boreal lake over the first half of a summer stratification period. Phytoplankton biomass increased with the deepening of the mixed layer …

SHIFTS OF START AND END OF SEASON IN RESPONSE TO AIR TEMPERATURE VARIATION BASED ON GIMMS DATASET IN HYRCANIAN FORESTS

2018

Abstract. Climate change is one of the most important environmental challenges in the world and forest as a dynamic phenomenon is influenced by environmental changes. The Hyrcanian forests is a unique natural heritage of global importance and we need monitoring this region. The objective of this study was to detect start and end of season trends in Hyrcanian forests of Iran based on biweekly GIMMS (Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies) NDVI3g in the period 1981-2012. In order to find response of vegetation activity to local temperature variations, we used air temperature provided from I.R. Iran Meteorological Organization (IRIMO). At the first step in order to remove the existing g…

Geographic Information System of Primary Carbon Deposit of Mangrove Forest in Merauke District, Indonesia

2020

Emission factors with increasing carbon dioxide (CO2) originating from various human activities are one of the causes of global climate change. The mangrove forest is a type of plant that has a great ability to absorb carbon in the atmosphere and store it in biomass through photosynthesis. Merauke Regency has 20 separate parts based on regional administration, but primary Mangrove forests are only found in ten regions (district). The results of research carried out using geographic information systems (GIS) in processing primary Mangrove forest data based on 2016 land cover map data in Merauke district, the area of primary mangrove forest reaches 184.402 ha, which is spread in various regio…

Including vegetation dynamics in an atmospheric chemistry-enabled general circulation model: linking LPJ-GUESS (v4.0) with the EMAC modelling system …

2020

Central to the development of Earth system models (ESMs) has been the coupling of previously separate model types, such as ocean, atmospheric, and vegetation models, to address interactive feedbacks between the system components. A modelling framework which combines a detailed representation of these components, including vegetation and other land surface processes, enables the study of land–atmosphere feedbacks under global climate change. Here we present the initial steps of coupling LPJ-GUESS, a dynamic global vegetation model, to the atmospheric chemistry-enabled atmosphere–ocean general circulation model EMAC. The LPJ-GUESS framework is based on ecophysiological processes, such as phot…

Temperature effects explain continental scale distribution of cyanobacterial toxins

2018

Insight into how environmental change determines the production and distribution of cyanobacterial toxins is necessary for risk assessment. Management guidelines currently focus on hepatotoxins (microcystins). Increasing attention is given to other classes, such as neurotoxins (e.g., anatoxin-a) and cytotoxins (e.g., cylindrospermopsin) due to their potency. Most studies examine the relationship between individual toxin variants and environmental factors, such as nutrients, temperature and light. In summer 2015, we collected samples across Europe to investigate the effect of nutrient and temperature gradients on the variability of toxin production at a continental scale. Direct and indirect…

The effect of temperature on cercariae production of two Rhipidocotyle trematodes parasitizing freshwater mussel, Anodonta anatina.

2013

Two bucephalid trematodes, Rhipidocotyle campanula and R. fennica are known to infect the duck mussel, Anodonta anatina. The infection will lead to decrease growth, reproduction and survival of A. anatina. Given the important role of temperature on cercariae production, a vital component of the parasite’s transmission and life cycle success, the effect of temperature on cercariae production of two Rhipidocotyle sp. in their molluscan host, Anodonta anatina, was investigated. Mussels were collected from the Rivers, Haajaistenjoki and Kuusaankoski, marked and allocated to three temperature treatments—high, intermediate and low. Between May 31-October 28, 2011, clams were individually monitore…

Parenting Styles and Aggressive Adolescents: Relationships with Self-esteem and Personal Maladjustment

2019

ABSTRACT Current emergent studies are seriously questioning if parental strictness contributes to adolescent adjustment. This study examined whether the relationship between authoritative (warmth and strictness), authoritarian (strictness without warmth), indulgent (warmth without strictness), and neglectful (neither warmth nor strictness) parenting styles shows equal or different pattern of adjustment and maladjustment for aggressive and non-aggressive adolescents. The sample consisted of 969 Spanish adolescents, 554 females (57.2%) and 415 males, ranging from 12 to 17 years old. Families were classified into one of four typologies by their scores on warmth and strictness, and the adolesce…

Treadmill and Running Speed Effects on Acceleration Impacts: Curved Non-Motorized Treadmill vs. Conventional Motorized Treadmill

2021

An increase in the popularity of running can be seen over the last decades, with a large number of injuries on it. Most of the running injuries are related to impact accelerations and are due to overuse. In order to reduce the risk of injury or to improve performance and health new treadmill designs have been created, as it can be the curved non-motorized treadmill. The aim of this study was to analyse impact accelerations, spatio-temporal parameters and perceptual differences while running on curved non-motorized treadmill (cNMT) compared to motorized treadmill (MT) at different speeds. Therefore, 27 recreational runners completed two tests consisting of 10 min warm-up and three bouts of 8…
