Since 2003, an important deposit of arms and severed heads has been under excavation at Le Cailar, a protohistoric port of trade in eastern Languedoc, in Mediterranean Gaul. This deposit, dated to the 3rd century BC, consists of many skeletal remains and a great quantity of metal objects, mostly weapons. The study of these remains will teach us a lot about protohistoric ritual practices.

Šī bakalaura darba nosaukums ir “Dzīvnieku nozīme autohtonajos korejiešu frazeoloģismos ar zoonīmu komponentiem”. Šī darbā uzmanība tiek pievērsta uzmanība vienam no visproblemātiskākajiem aspektiem tulkošanas procesā - neradniecisku valodu frazeoloģismu tulkošana. Frazeoloģismi sevi ietver noteiktas tautas kultūras daļu, kas padara tos par visgrūtākajiem valodas vienībām. Zoonīmu, jeb dzīvnieku nosaukumu, iekļaušana frazeoloģismos ir ļoti viegli izskaidrojams process, jo viena no frazeoloģismos uzkrātās informācijas sadaļām ir saistāma ar dzīvām būtnēm, kuras ir pastāvējušas līdztekus cilvēkiem kopš laika gala. Zemes lietojuma veids ir viens no būtiskākajiem faktoriem, kas ietekmē upju un ezeru ekoloģisko kvalitāti. Daudzās upēs un ezeros nepārdomātās apsaimniekošanas dēļ ir lielas biogēno vielu, pesticīdu un komplekso ķīmisko savienojumu koncentrācijas. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot dažādu zemes lietojuma veidu ietekmi uz Gaujas upju baseina apgabalā esošu ezeru ekoloģisko kvalitāti. Darbā tika izmantoti virszemes ūdeņu kvalitātes monitoringa dati, ekoloģiskās kvalitātes novērtējuma pielietotie bioloģiskie indeksi - T, ASPT, DSFI, EPT, Šenona-Vīnera daudzveidības indekss (H), LLMMI - morfoloģiskie ezeru parametri. Casein genes are highly polymorphic and the high degree of variability has qualitative and quantitative effects on milk composition thereby affecting chemical, physical and technological properties of goat milk. The aim of this work was to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms of the αs2-casein (CSN1S2) gene in the endangered Girgentana dairy goat breed in order to assess the genotypes distribution, as it is known genotype influences technological and nutritional milk properties.
