Abstract The tariff setting for district heating (DH) services is a hard regulatory procedure. This chapter is devoted to development of the simple but sufficiently accurate methodology for fast and objective evaluation of the actual costs of DH to optimize the regulatory process and to set adequate tariffs on heat production and transmission. The developed methodology is based on the data sets of Latvian DH providers, but the methodological principles are applicable in another area too. The browser operates by getting information from metamodel of data sources and actual data from legacy data sources. Every element such as entity, field, and relation is mapped to some component of HTML page with appropriate structure and layout. The paper propose methodology for benchmark modelling of adequate costs of utilities services, which is based on the data analysis of the factual cases (key performance indicators of utilities as the predictors). Towards a Concurrence Analysis in Business Processes

This paper presents first steps towards a solution aimed to provide concurrent business processes analysis methodology for predicting the probability of incorrect business process execution. The aim of the paper is to (a) look at approaches to describing and dealing with the execution of concurrent processes, mainly focusing on the transaction mechanisms in database management systems, (b) present an idea and a preliminary version of an algorithm that detects the possibility of incorrect execution of concurrent business processes. Authors propose an algorithm for analysis of business processes to detect potentially incorrect results of concurrent processes execution. Our novel approach is to conclude necessary database isolation level from business process description.
