Evaluation of the perceived social impacts of the Formula E Grand Prix of Santiago de Chile David

[Abstract] The aim of this study is to analyse residents' perception of the social impact of the Formula E Grand Prix of Santiago de Chile. A sample of 414 residents was collected through a questionnaire made up of 46 items regarding possible positive and negative impacts. Descriptive analysis, confirmatory factorial analysis and cluster analysis were performed. The results showed two groups with different perceptions of this sporting event: realistic (n=152) and favourable (n=162). Validation of the Marathon Motivation Scale in Chile

The objective of this work was to validate the Marathon Motivation Scale (MOMS) for its application in the Chilean context. The study used a non-experimental, descriptive and transversal design. The sample was non-probability and intentional and was composed of 250 subjects (143 male and 104 female) runners who participated in the International Marathon of Viña del Mar with an average age of 29.8 (TD = 10.1) years. Amateur Runners’ Commitment: An Analysis of Sociodemographic and Sports Habit Profiles

The aim of this work is to analyse the commitment to running among urban runners by identifying groups regarding commitment to this sport and by defining their sociodemographic profile and their sports habits. Resumen La finalidad de este estudio es validar una escala para el análisis de las percepciones de los residentes sobre el impacto social de un centro deportivo. Se recogió una muestra de 406 residentes del municipio de Moncada (Valencia), con un error de muestreo de ±4,82, que contestaron a una encuesta de 31 ítems que recogían posibles impactos sociales derivados de la presencia del centro deportivo en la localidad.
