Abstract. Background Macrophages are one of the most important players in the tumor microenvironment. The polarization status of tumor associated macrophages into a pro-inflammatory type M1 or anti-inflammatory type M2 may influence cancer progression and patient survival. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are membrane-bound vesicles containing different biomolecules that are involved in cell to cell signal transfer. Accumulating evidence suggests that cancer-derived EVs are taken up by macrophages and modulate their phenotype and cytokine profile. Tumorigenitātes marķieru noteikšana pieaugušo cilmes šūnās in vitro
K-67 un telomerāzes reversā transkriptāze TERT ir olbaltumvielu dabas savienojumi, kuri ir iesaistīti ne tikai šūnu proliferācijas un novecošanas procesos, bet arī onkoģenēzē. Līdzšinējie pētījumi ļauj domāt, ka tos varētu izmantot kā marķierus šūnu tumorigenitātes prognozēšanai. Šī darba mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai un cik lielā mērā šo marķieru aktivitāte ir vērojama pieaugušu cilvēku dermas un kaulu smadzeņu mezenhimālajās cilmes šūnās, kā arī izpētīt iespējamās sakarības starp Ki-67 un TERT aktivitātes līmeni vai starp šo marķieru ekspresijas līmeni un citiem šūnas raksturojošiem parametriem. Betulīnskābes ietekme uz teratokarcinomas šūnu līniju PA-1, plaušu vēža šūnu līniju A549 un adenokarcinomas šūnu līniju HeLa
Betulīnskābe ir triterpēnu grupas savienojums, kuru iespējams izolēt no bērza tāss un kuram piemīt pretaudzēju, anti-HIV un pretvīrusu iedarbība. Šī darba mērķis bija noskaidrot betulīnskābes ietekmi uz teratokarcinomas šūnu līniju PA-1, plaušu vēža šūnu līniju A549 un adenokarcinomas šūnu līniju HeLa. Darbā tika izmantota šūnu iekrāsošana ar propīdija jodīdu un iekrāsoto šūnu analizēšana FACS plūsmas citometrā. Iegūtie dati ļāva precīzi noteikt, kurā šūnas cikla fāzē šūnas atradās, savukārt pēc tā bija iespējams novērtēt, vai pētītajai vielai piemīt citotoksiska ietekme uz noteikto šūnu līniju.
