The Figure X of the Ars compendiosa inveniendi veritatem was reproduced by Ivo Salzinger in the Mainz edition, in a form different from that transmitted by the manuscripts in which the work is preserved. These offer two different versions of the figure: one a circular representation similar to that of the eighteenth- century edition, but with a differcnt order of terms; and another which distributes the sixteen terms in pairs at the vertices of two squares inscribed in a circle. El monogràfic que hem coordinat per a aquest número de Scripta conté uns estudis centrats en aspectes molt concrets i, en ocasions, poc tractats de l'obra de Ramon Llull. Atesa la multiplicitat i la varietat temàtica d'aquesta obra, i també dels recursos que hi posa en joc l'autor, el camp que s'obre davant l'estudiós tendeix a ampliar-se, a estendre's cap a nous horitzons encara inexplorats. A més, els temes ja coneguts i tractats poden aparéixer sota una llum nova que obliga a replantejar-se qüestions que semblaven resoltes.

Allegory is one of the most interesting devices that Ramon Llull uses in Llibre de contemplacid to achieve the aim to present his doctrinal ideas in a persuasive manner. ln chapter 354, allegory takes the shape of a strange narration full ol symbolism, whose significance refers to the fight between virtues and vices, a conflict related to the opposition soul vs. body. In his Revelatio secretorum Artis, Salzinger presented this chapter as the key that allows the discovery of the secrets of Lullian Art.
