Usefulness of abdominal ultrasonography in the analysis of endoscopic activity in patients with Crohn's disease: changes following treatment with immunomodulators and/or anti-TNF antibodies.
The objective of this study was to analyze the accuracy of abdominal ultrasonography (AUS) in the assessment of mucosal healing in patients with Crohn's disease (CD) receiving immunomodulators and/or biological treatment, with ileocolonoscopy as the reference standard.Thirty patients were included in a prospective longitudinal study. All patients underwent ileocolonoscopy and AUS before and after a minimum of one year of treatment. Valor de la proteína C reactiva en la detección de la necrosis en la pancreatitis aguda
Objetivos Valorar la utilidad de la proteina C reactiva (PCR) en la deteccion de la necrosis en la pancreatitis aguda y precisar el mejor nivel de corte de la PCR para esta finalidad. Material y metodos Se incluyeron, de forma retrospectiva, 157 pacientes con pancreatitis aguda a los que se habia efectuado una tomografia computarizada (TC) con contraste intravenoso, entre las 72 h y el octavo dia del inicio de la sintomatologia, y determinado el valor de la PCR en el suero por nefelometria a partir de las 24 h del comienzo del dolor.
