Questo contributo propone un’analisi delle relazioni genitoriali poste in essere nelle famiglie italiane degli anni Cinquanta. Seguendo le suggestioni della recente Visual History, viene scelto il cinema come fonte cui attingere per ricostruire i rapporti tra madre e padre che, nel “decennio più lungo del secolo breve”, si avviavano ad una lenta ridefinizione. Il codice paterno, che il cinema neorealista descrive in tutta la sua problematicità, e il codice materno, che il melò consegna al pubblico nella sua ambiguità, sono descritti come due mondi separati che solo nel genere della commedia sembrano inaugurare una loro ricomposizione, se pur difficoltosa e solo abbozzata. Starting from the consideration of some of the most recurrent "emergencies" of contemporary education, the text presents articulated itineraries of reflection on education in the society of "late modernity", through the research model of the fundamental pedagogy. Indeed, general pedagogy is here understood as a specific science that assumes the primary and grounding problems of educational actions. Its characteristic feature is a "phenomenological-hermeneutic" approach that consists in analyzing the phenomena that are called "educational", with the gaze turned to grasping their essential traits.
