To prepare the graduates better for the demand of Polish labor market and to enable more innovative management practice in Polish enterprises, we must build project management competences in academic education. Project management competences are believed to play a significant role in Polish labor market. Considering the challenges of contemporary enterprises from the perspective of project driven management expectations, the project management competences have particular significance. There is a need to educate in the area of project management. The Polish enterprises are looking for highly educated project managers. The paper presents the latest trends in project management and the challenges in the field of project management education. It also presents the attractiveness of project management education in the context of the current and future needs of the labor market in Poland.
