Il contributo esamina le opere custodite nella chiesa di S. Benedetto, nota come Badia, di Caccamo, centro della provincia di Palermo. Si tratta di un edificio monastico appartenente alle monache benedettine che custodisce dipinti, stucchi, monumenti funebri, intagli e altre pregevoli opere realizzate tra il Cinquecento e il Settecento alcune delle quali commissionate da monache e badesse. Tra queste ultime Honufria Fara Lombardo che, figlia del barone della Scala e Manchi don Onofrio Lombardo, nel 1669 fa realizzare l’ostensorio in argento arricchito di diamanti e topazi ora custodito in Chiesa Madre. The contribution examines the works kept in the church of S. Benedetto, known as Badia, in Caccamo, a center in the province of Palermo. It is a monastic building belonging to the Benedictine nuns which houses paintings, stuccos, funeral monuments, carvings and other valuable works created between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, some of which were commissioned by nuns and abbesses. Among the latter Honufria Fara Lombardo who, daughter of the baron della Scala and Manchi don Onofrio Lombardo, in 1669 had the monstrance made in silver enriched with diamonds and topaz now kept in the Mother Church
