Questo saggio intende focalizzare, in una prospettiva sociologica, la difficoltà e le trasformazioni che nelle società occidentali conseguiranno alle relazioni multiculturali. This paper intends to focus, in a sociological perspective, the difficulty and the transformations resulted by the multicultural relations in Western societies. The growth of the phenomenon of migratory flows at the global level poses a series of challenges in the governance of multicultural societies, and in particular in integration policies. In recent years, Western societies have rediscovered the social and identity effects of migrations. It seems inevitable that our societies will have to face social relations, contradictions and unprecedented conflict, marked by religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
