This article presents the results of a pilot and exploration study. The main objective of the research was to investigate the differences of intergenerational learning in the process of hominisation. For the purpose of the study the author used the quantitative strategy of research and author’s instrument of measurement. In the study participated 50 adult respondents from province opolskie. The research in question combines in a way such fields of knowledge as anthropology, pedagogics and psychology; the aim of the combination is to explore the processes which support the development of a human being in light of andragogy. Two conceptions have constituted the theoretical and methodological basis of the considerations: M. Mead’s system of three cultures (prefigurative, configurative, and postfigurative) and K. Popielski’s dimensions of being and becoming a man (biological, social, cultural, subjective and personal, neotic). The author of the article presents the relationship between learning in the abovementioned three types of culture and the dimensions of hominisation. All the above issues have been considered in the here presented analysis of results, which depicts the intergenerational learning as a common phenomenon present in all dimensions of existence. The results of the research indicate that the postfigurative culture predominates in biological, social, and neotic dimensions. However the configurative culture takes part in biggest degree in cultural and biological dimensions. The last type of culture it predominates in social and cultural dimensions of hominisations.
