International audience; A reading of the process of privatization through the corporate governance theory leads to propose a model taking into account, on the one hand, the time dimension of the process of privatization, on the other hand, the contextual, organizational, governance and strategic variables which influence this process. After replicating some traditional tests, we test this model on a sample of French privatized firms and on a seven years horizon. The positive effect traditionally attributed to privatizations is not confirmed. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of political connections in the value of companies listed on the Spanish stock market. Design/methodology/approach The authors study two issues on this topic: the impact on the company value of the appointment as director of an ex-politician through an event study; and the long run stock market performance of companies with political connections. The authors employ a sample of listed firms in the Spanish stock market for which the authors collected data about their political connections. Un debat tres anime portant sur le lien entre les aspects comportementaux des investisseurs et les marches financiers s’est largement developpe au cours de la derniere decennie. La presente etude teste l’impact du sentiment de l’investisseur sur un panel de marches boursiers internationaux. Nous etudions l’influence du sentiment de l’investisseur sur la probabilite de survenance des crises boursieres. Nos resultats montrent que les crises boursieres sont precedees de periodes de montee de l’euphorie des investisseurs.

International audience; European Commission (EC 2011) has recently suggested joint audit - broadly defined as an audit where two independent auditors are jointly liable for the audit report - as a way a way to increase audit quality after the financial crisis and to mitigate audit market concentration, by enlarging the audit offer. Big 4 audit firms have fought this proposal by arguing its unbearable cost while 2nd Tier audit firms have supported it by arguing its added quality. International audience; Le modèle de recherche d'expériences de Holbrook et Hirschman a été présenté par ses auteurs comme un cadre conceptuel bien adapté à l'analyse des comportements dans le domaine culturel. Cette recherche analyse la capacité de variables explicatives des différences interindividuelles retenues par ce modèle à expliquer des différences dans les évocations affectives du théâtre par le public. La méthodologie mise en œuvre s'appuie sur l'analyse statistique de données textuelles recueillies auprès des différents segments de spectateurs.

Zusammenfassung Um kollektive (Umwelt-)Güter zu bewerten, verwenden Ökonomen seit nunmehr etlichen Jahren Auskünfte zur Zahlungsbereitschaft, die in Umfragen erhoben werden. Die Zahlungsbereitschaftsanalyse hat sich zu einem wichtigen Forschungsfeld entwickelt, dessen Ergebnisse zum Teil in politische und juristische Entscheidungen einfließen. Der vorliegende Artikel fordert die Soziologie auf, sich in dieses Forschungsfeld einzumischen. Zusammenfassung Mit einer ethnografischen Perspektive untersucht der Aufsatz künstlerische Praxis im Feld der bildenden Kunst. Ins Zentrum rückt die Frage, wie Kunstwerke beziehungsweise künstlerische Arbeiten in situ hervorgebracht werden. Dabei folgt die Ethnografin den PraktikerInnen respektive den KünstlerInnen und ihrem situierten Tun.
