Pirms Industriālās revolūcijas reklāma bija fenomens, kas izplatījās vietējā mērogā, taču mūsdienās reklāmdevēji uzskata, ka ir „jādomā globāli, bet jārīkojas lokāli”. Paralēli sarunām, kas noris starp globālas un lokālas reklāmas piekritējiem, reklāmdevējiem ir jāatrod veidi, kā patērētājiem pārdot produktus, un viens no veidiem ir transkreācija. Transkreācija ir salīdzinoši jauns jēdziens un tam ir veltīta neliela pētnieciskā darbība, turklāt latviešu valodā šis termins vēl nav atzīts (lai gan Latvijas reklāmdevēji lieto terminu „adaptācija”). Counting the minimum node weight spanning trees for broadcast transmission in wireless sensor networks

Artykuł przedstawia algorytm optymalizacji zużycia energii dla broadcastu w sieciach sensorowych. Transmisja broadcastu pozwala na wysłanie danych do wszystkich portów składających się na sieć. Bezprzewodowe sieci sensorowe zbudowane są z rozproszonych urządzeń pomiarowych. Mają one ograniczone zasoby energii. W tym artykule stworzymy model sieci sensorowej z jednym sensorem broadcastującym. Do tej sieci użyjemy algorytmu znajdującego minimalne spinające drzewo wag, pozwalające na oszczędne wykorzystanie energii sensorów.
Dealing with viewers’ complaints: Role, visibility and transparency of PSB Ombudsmen in ten European countries

The article shows the results of a comparative analysis of the complaints management mechanisms offered by ten European Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) systems on their corporate websites. Using a qualitative methodology, it maps the procedures and evaluates the visibility, transparency and dissemination of results. The findings show, firstly, great diversity in terms of responsible election and management, despite the converging media governance. Search for photonic signatures of gauge-mediated supersymmetry in 8TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

A search is presented for photonic signatures motivated by generalized models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. This search makes use of 20.3 fb[superscript −1] of proton-proton collision data at √s = 8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC, and explores models dominated by both strong and electroweak production of supersymmetric partner states. Four experimental signatures incorporating an isolated photon and significant missing transverse momentum are explored. These signatures include events with an additional photon, lepton, b-quark jet, or jet activity not associated with any specific underlying quark flavor.
