Long-range magnetic order in the porous metal–organic framework Ni(pyrazine)[Pt(CN)4]

A combined study involving DFT calculations, neutron scattering, heat capacity and magnetic measurements at very low temperatures demonstrates the long-range magnetic ordering of Ni(pyrazine)[Pt(CN)4] below 1.9 K, describing its antiferromagnetic spin arrangement. This compound belongs to the family of porous coordination polymers M(pyrazine)[Pt(CN)4] (M = divalent metal), renowned for showing interesting combinations of porosity and magnetic properties. The possibility of including long-range magnetic ordering, one of the most pursued functional properties, opens new perspectives for the multifunctionality of this class of compounds.

The aim of this study was to determine the feasibility of the 30 s sit-to-stand (30s-STS) test in the telehealth setting and its relationship to persistent symptoms in a sample of non-hospitalized patients with long COVID. Owing to their replicative capacity, oncolytic viruses (OVs) can evolve under the action of natural selection. Reversion to virulence and recombination with wild-type strains may compromise OV safety, therefore requiring evolutionary risk assessment studies. The current status of experimental and clinical applications for functional MR imaging of pulmonary ventilation using hyperpolarized noble gases are reviewed. 3-helium (3He) and 129-xenon (129Xe) can be hyperpolarized by optical pumping techniques such as spin exchange or metastability exchange in sufficient amounts. This process leads to an artificial, non-equilibrium increase of the density of excited nuclei which represents the source of the MR signal. Those hyperpolarized gases are administered mostly via inhalation, and will fill airways and airspaces allowing for ventilation imaging.
