Attività extralavorativa durante l'infortunio, obblighi contrattuali e doveri di correttezza e buona fede
2021
The essay deals with the legitimacy of dismissal for cause, starting from a decision of the Court of Rome. It’s about an employee who carries out other work or does some extracurriculars, when he is out sick.
"LA FINANZA PER L'ESTERO:IL PUNTO DI VISTA DELLE BANCHE LOCALI E DELLE PMI MARCHIGIANE"
2009
Aristotle’s Doctrine of Causes and the Manipulative Theory of Causality
2018
I will argue for the similarity between some aspects of Aristotle’s doctrine of causes and a particular kind of interventionist theory of causality. The interventionist account hypothesizes that there is a connection between causation and human intervention: the idea of a causal relation between two events is generated by the reflection of human beings on their own operating. This view is remindful of the Aristotelian concept of αἴτιον (cause), which is linked to the figure of the αἴτιος, the person who is responsible of an action. Aristotle conceives of the efficient cause as the active element which, in the φύσις, gives rise to movement and imposes the form, in analogy with the active ele…
Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Pirfenidone, Nintedanib, and Pamrevlumab for the Treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
2020
Background: The comparative efficacy of pirfenidone, nintedanib, and pamrevlumab in slowing the rate of forced vital capacity (FVC) decline and mortality in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is unknown. Objective: To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis (MA) of these drugs for IPF. Methods: We searched CENTRAL, PubMed, EMBASE, ClincalTrials.gov, and the World Health Organization’s registry databases up to March 2020. Phase II/III randomized controlled trials in adults with IPF were eligible. The random-effect model was implemented calculating the effect size and respective 95% CI as Cohen’s d for change from baseline FVC (in percentage predicted and liters) and odds…
P640Sex differences in cardiovascular and all-cause mortality in middle-aged and older participants of a medically-supervised exercise program
2019
Abstract Background Physical inactivity has been shown to be associated with all-cause mortality in both healthy and unhealthy middle-aged and older individuals. While regular exercise is equally recommended for men and women, it is virtually unknown if sex influences the long-term survival among participants of a medically-supervised exercise program (MSEP). Purpose To evaluate if cardiovascular and all-cause mortality differs between men and women who participates in a MSEP. Methods Retrospective data from an open cohort of individuals aged 36 to 85 years old (66% men) who participated in a private MSEP between March 1994 and December 2018 were analyzed. The participants were free to atte…

Cross-Country Skiing and Running’s Association with Cardiovascular Events and All-Cause Mortality:A Review of the Evidence
2019
A large body of evidence demonstrates positive, graded effects of PA on cardiovascular disease (CVD) morbidity and mortality with increasing intensity compared with lower PA intensity. Running is often designated as a high-intensity PA with substantial evidence supporting its health benefits. Cross-country skiing is among the most demanding aerobic endurance exercises and requires engaging the upper- and lower-body. Cross-country skiing is often regarded as high-intensity PA, which has been associated with significant health benefits. However, a robust body of evidence identifying the dose-response relation between cross-country skiing volume and health outcomes is sparse. Therefore, this r…

Performance Evaluation for a Sustainable Supply Chain Management System in the Automotive Industry Using Artificial Intelligence
2020
Increasing the sustainability of a system can be achieved by evaluating the system, identifying the issues and their root cause and solving them. Performance evaluation translates into key performance indicators (KPIs) with a high impact on increasing overall efficacy and efficiency. As the pool of KPIs has increased over time in the context of evaluating the supply chain management (SCM) system&rsquo
