In the urban drainage sector, the problem of polluting discharges in sewers may act on the proper functioning of the sewer system, on the wastewater treatment plant reliability and on the receiving water body preservation. Therefore, the implementation of a chemical monitoring network is necessary to promptly detect and contain the event of contamination. Combining Sequence Analysis and Hidden Markov Models in the Analysis of Complex Life Sequence Data

Life course data often consists of multiple parallel sequences, one for each life domain of interest. Multichannel sequence analysis has been used for computing pairwise dissimilarities and finding clusters in this type of multichannel (or multidimensional) sequence data. Describing and visualizing such data is, however, often challenging. We propose an approach for compressing, interpreting, and visualizing the information within multichannel sequences by finding (1) groups of similar trajectories and (2) similar phases within trajectories belonging to the same group. On the boundary $\delta\Omega$, the vanishing normal component is prescribed. A variational formulation is given and its solvability is investigated.

Mappings of finite distortion : boundary extensions in uniform domains

In this paper, we consider mappings on uniform domains with exponentially integrable distortion whose Jacobian determinants are integrable. We show that such mappings can be extended to the boundary and moreover these extensions are exponentially integrable with quantitative bounds. This extends previous results of Chang and Marshall on analytic functions, Poggi-Corradini and Rajala and Akkinen and Rajala on mappings of bounded and finite distortion.
