An international meeting on Bordetella pertussis assay standardization and harmonization was held at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, GA, 19-20 July 2007. Hyperalphalipoproteinemia, as observed in patients who are either homozygous or heterozygous for cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) deficiency, has been shown to be associated with striking changes in apolipoprotein size distribution, namely, of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and HDL-like particles. We compared the effect of varying degrees of CETP activity on the HDL apolipoprotein profile in Caucasian CETP-deficient subjects and following pharmacological decrease in CETP activity, using Size Exclusion Chromatography followed by Reverse Phase Protein Array (SEC RPA). W trakcie licznych konfliktów zbrojnych rozegranych w osiemnastowiecznej Europie Prusy Wschodnie tylko raz były teatrem działań wojennych: latem 1757 r. – zimą 1758 r. Dwukrotnie jednak działania zbrojne toczyły się nad jej granicami, a w latach 1734-1735 przez prowincje pruską przechodziły transporty i oddziały walczących wojsk. Taka postawa nie przyniosła wówczas królowi pruskiemu żadnych korzyści, ale też uchroniła Prusy Wschodnie oraz jego mieszkańców przed ewentualnymi negatywnymi skutkami wojny na terytorium Rzeczpospolitej. Azoxystrobin is a modern strobilurin fungicide used around the world to combat prime diseases affecting highly valuable crops. Accordingly, residues of this chemical are frequently found in food, even though mostly under maximum tolerated levels. We herein describe the development of an indirect competitive immunoassay for the determination of azoxystrobin residues.
